Great mix, great performance, everything.

Are there any vids from that broadcast?

I'd look, but that would defeat the purpose of being lazy.

Hah, as soon as I saw your name I knew it was something like this.

But seriously........any other vids? I need them to make up for the fact that I won't be seeing them this tour.

Fiery Winds

Excellent!  First thing I noticed was that JP has improved drastically with the backing vocals.

Word. Beyond that, he not only looks a lot more visibly comfortable while singing but that clip was the first time I've ever seen him look genuinely happy and confident while singing.

Wow, that is literally one of the best live performances from DT I have ever seen.  In every way. :hefdaddy

That was amazing.  And one of the LaBrie's best performances.  Seriously, that was so good.

tri.ad

I agree; the sound was amazing, the band were spot on, and JLB's performance was really great. Definitely a highlight from this leg. :tup

Zorander

Oh, man! That's some killer live DT right there!! All instruments audible, James on fire, awesome rocking song .. perfect  :hat

Btw, Peruvian Skies gets too little love, I love the atmospheric beginning and then the constant building up in temp and agressiveness until the solo, and then it just ROCKS from there and out  :metal

DejaVu

5:55. Wow, I nearly died!

Probably the best Dream Theater performance I've ever seen! :omg:

The Silent Cody

Great performance!!! Thank You for this!

Zook

Someone needs to make a gif of the bouncing bear.

jdprsaga

Wow!!! this is the best peruvian sky i have seen..

i'm not a fan of the song but this performance make me appreciate it more. awesome. Labrie sounds really good!

Guitalguy

That solo is like one of the best I've heard..ever. And the production and atmosphere of this makes it feel even more alive. JP going into world domination mode doesn't make it any less powerful. Should have been there!! :-\

It's my father's favourite song  :metal (and guess who introduced DT to him...)

Anyway, the  performance was absolutely top notch, from all the guys! James and John went so emotional in the first part!

As far as I know that was the only song they showed on the Sky Arts programme.

DetonationSequence

I saw this live from the front row. My life rules.

Sweet video, it's even better than I remember it being! Wonder if they got the epic Great Debate or LTL performances on camera...

TheMadgician

That's probably the most stage presence I've seen from them since the videos from the early 90s. What even is this? Were they replaced by skrulls?

Gadough

Labrie's growl at 2:15 was awesome. Also the little mini JP solo right after it.

If you thought that was cool, it's a bummer they cut off the part right at the end where the band launched into a Ghosts of Perdition cover.  :metal

mocool13

Amazing performance. The angles and editing made it even better. I hope there are more professionally edited clips like this from the tour.

I'm pretty sure I would faint if DT ever covered Ghost of Perdition.

Wow! Incredible performance. Everything is as DTish as it can get, but there's definitely a new vibe coming from the band. This video got me excited like never for the NA tour.

5:56 is so epic. "Battered and bruised... aaAAAAaaalways confusing the love...". JLB is clearly improving year after year. Also, some solid bass presence at 4:36 and through the entire thing. The guitar is a bit low in the mix IMO.

After the video ended, I couldn't help myself but thinking "Man do I miss Portnoy's presence and energy". As much as I love Mangini, this new vibe is already making me nostalgic of "the good old days".

fadetoblackdude7

Hurray for the first pro-shot footage of DT with Mangini!!

Plasmastrike

Fucking awesome performance! Thanks for that link.
