Nope I can't get into it. but it's 1 out of 7 minutes.....so i just wait for the 9th of sept.
making me think this is the first time i preordered a DT album.

I normally - bought on the day it came out and / or
listen to it prior to the day it came out, and bought it later on.

I agree, I'm really glad JR is focusing this time on the notes he's hitting as opposed to just using them as a means to play fast and bend the hell out of everything.

no lack of melody on this record 

and indeed although it's not doing anything to me yet... it's not just a "trying a new gadget" section. you now can actually follow what JR' is playing instead of 1000 notes in a secion with wahwah delay chorus etc etc. in that fact this indeed gives the music breathing space.... aaaaaahhhhhhh like!
