Did anyone say that Europe gets the digital download four days before release?

"Due to the high quality of the box set, it will be shipped 4-5 weeks after release, but to ensure you still have the music a digital copy of the album will be sent to you on the Friday before release."

Okay, then I definately consider buying just the CD as well, 4-5 weeks plus the time it's in the mail is a bit long.. The BCSL took about 3 weeks in the mail.

Posted on facebook for anybody on the fence about getting this.

We hope everyone had a great weekend. One more week! FYI there are under 500 copies left of the Collectors Edition. Thank you again for all the support.

How many were there originally?

I'm in a similar boat as the OP.

Fanboy guilt is driving my purchase of the Box Set - I feel like I'm letting the band down if I don't.  That and I'm convinced I'll get a ticket for live just because I live in the middle of freaking nowhere and I'd only get to use it once a tour if I'm lucky.

My guess is that there are less pressed of the new one than the Black Clouds box since you can still find Black Clouds boxes around.

They probably pressed less in the hope that they would sell out and not be sitting in a warehouse.

Not sure of the actual numbers on either box though.

I'm such a fanboy I just ordered the regular edition CD because I wanted to have liner notes to look at the day it was released...and hey, it was under 10 bucks.

I was struggling with weather or not I should bite the bullet and get the Deluxe edition and now I'm glad I did (ordered it on Monday). Seemed like there was a pretty large supply of BCSL box sets long after I got mine on release day so I thought this would be the same...

Madman Shepherd

I ordered mine as soon as I saw that.  I thought about waiting a year just like I did with BC&SL box set.  This will likely be sold out by Tuesday

Rob801

I looked today and you can still buy BCSL box! I guess it wasn't so limited after all  ;).

Maybe I'm just a loon, but... I've already Pre-ordered the BoxSet, and I will be stopping by the Mom&Pop record shop on Rt. 23 N in Wayne to buy the Normal edition on the day of release. WITHOUT QUESTION.

For Any chance at a Dream Theater "Ticket for Life," it is worth spending $105 on DT memorabilia.

Jarlaxle

Finally pre-ordered my box set!

Sound Exchange is still around? I used to buy my way-over-priced imports from there until I found somewhere cheaper.

I should really go up there again one day to see what it looks like now. Perhaps the bins won't be as crammed and jammed as they used to be.

Aahhh yes. You knew what I was talking about!   I love SoundExchange.   I know they're not cheap.  But they are a great place to find some more obscure items. I mean, you can't go to FYE or Best Buy and expect every Spock's Beard album to be there.

Where is this other place you speak of that saves you some $$$?

Oh and the bins are crammed and jammed for sure. Especially the Dream Theater spot, because they put a bunch of the side projects there with DT. so it's like over flowing and there's a little cardboard box with a few more CD's in it labeled 'DT side projects'    or 'DT related'

I don't go to FYE or Best Buy at all!

Everything you need is here:

Although like every other independent store, they were MUCH better 10 years ago and before that.

Only store left in the state that does what they do. (In a way I'm kinda glad they are so far away...)

Oh Vintage Vinyl... I've been there before. I actually found that Sound Exchange has more of what I want.
I understand there may be a gap here in what we're looking for. I need apples... you need oranges. That kind of deal.

Fords is really far from me though.   Way out of the way.   Sound Exchange is on the way home.  Love that place!

Vintage Vinyl is undoubtably a groovy store though. Totally worth the occasional road trip for anyone in my neck of the woods... (Sussex County)
