Exactly, and I think thats just fantastic news - as not only are the mentioned tracks awesome, they are part of a brilliant sounding bigger picture, which is often far better than a ballad just there on its own..

Anyone else get the feeling that since the JLB and JMX penned songs were explicitly stated, the rest of the songs are more than likely written by Petrucci? Pure speculation, naturally.

Mega excited for the album now! One thing though: Beneath The Surface was composed by just one member, is a malancholic closer to the album, and wasn't even meant to be on the record originally...

The collective sanity of this board had better pray it doesn't have any Conan samples in it...

Turns out JP wrote it because he was sad that Jay Leno took back his spot from Conan and the whole song is practically riddled with Conan samples...

Don't worry, the song actually sounds pretty positive to me, not melancholic.

Also, I love how the song Bridges in the sky has nothing to do with the actual bridges in the sky.
