Dutch pre order info

So i just saw on dt.net and twitter that you can pre order in the netherlands on bol.com. but look at the date... thet say that it will be available on 9-9-2011? thats a lot earlier then 12 or 13 - 9.

And what is the dvd about? is that the whole audition show? I thought the dvd had intrumental versions of every song?

9/13 is the American date, it might come sooner for your area. From what I understand, only the deluxe package has the instrumentals, that one only has the CD and the "Spirit Carries On" documentary.

hmm if thats true i dont know wich one i'm going to buy... the spirit carries on doc can be viewed online (so dont see the use of getting it on dvd)... so it will depend on the package wich one i will take (package as in only simple cd case of more luxury version with more artwork etc.)

And if it will be 9-9... that will mean we are going to hear it sooner then the american guys

Yes, that's how it works.

Most of Europe gets it on a Friday, UK / Australia / etc. get it on Monday, and the US is the last market to get it 'cause they insist on releasing albums on Tuesdays.

It's to do with chart placements. The UK chart for instance updates on Sundays, so most labels release the albums on Mondays so they get a full week of sales before they're tallied up. The US likewise updates on Mondays - so your area probably has Thursday charts, I'd guess.

In that case, it might be something to do with reduced album sales on weekends, or needing the release dates to line up with neighbouring countries so people don't pop over the border and buy 'em down the road, but yeah - it's basically dictated by charts, sales figures, optimum releases, and in short, most of Europe will get its albums on the Friday. q:

thanks for the info... you freshened up my mind

can remember now that i read something about this a long time ago with an other album release.

So that makes it one thing to be glad to be a dutch one

getting the album released as one of the first.... but when you guys buy the deluxe set in de usa? will you get an download version on the 9th or before that? would be fair if the ones who buy the deluxe set get the album in front of everyone.

btw. I edited the subject..... not so confused anymore

The deluxe pre-orders get a free download on the 12th, I think, so still a little way behind you guys (yes, be glad to be a dutch one!), but it's in advance of the USA release, and means the album will definitely arrive on time - so that's cool.

I'm UK, so I'm getting it on the 12th, but I am tempted to find out when it's released in France and possibly schedule a convenient holiday across the channel. :p

I'm too trying to figure out if pre ordering the disc in Holland the post system will be able to fly it to Italy before the 12th...
