They felt that those two songs were not strong enough to be put in the album, and as a consequence decided to write Another Day and Surrounded. Not two of the songs you would commonly wish had not existed, I guess  :lol Life is strange...
The final cut of Images and Words had about 15 minutes of empty space, there was plenty of room to fit To Live Forever, Don't Look Past Me, and Eve on it.
I don't think Don't Look Past Me or Eve would work well on I&W. They just don't sound like they would fit on it.
If "Wait For Sleep" had been a demo and not on the album, people would have said the same exact thing about that. It sounds nothing like the album, yet it works perfectly, so I don't see a problem with DLPM and Eve.
As long as Learning to Live was still on the album I don't see why Wait for Sleep wouldn't work well on I&W. After all, Wait for Sleep is the prelude to Learning to Live.

?

Don't Look Past Me and Speak to Me. To Live Forever is quite awesome too.

Infinite Cactus

To Live Forever and Don't Look Past Me are easily the best to me. Followed closely by The Way It Used To Be, Where Are You Now, and Raise The Knife

Tomislav95

Speak to Me and Eve. To Live Forever and Don't Look Past Me are close

Wait is it really not? I always got the feeling that it was kind of made as an intro to LtL.

Eve and Speak to Me. Both are beautiful songs

I just listened to the version of Eve on the Dream Bill bootleg this morning and was just overwhelmed with a feeling of "I just don't get what people see in this song."  To this day, I find nothing to like about it.

The Silent Cody

Eve, To Live Forever and Raise The Knife ;) I can't vote three, but if I could it would be it.

Eve, Raise the Knife
These.

BTW, bosky, although I absolutely love the studio recording of Eve, I've never been too enamored with any live version I've ever heard.  Stick to the demo.

Which version of To Live Forever is better? The Demo or the Lie single?

I like the version on the '98 fan club cd.

Don't Look Past Me, Eve, and Raise the Knife are definitely candidates in my book.

EVE was a released track as a b-side to a single so it shouldnt be in this poll.  I picked The Way It Used To Be, but Speak To Me is pretty much equal as far as I can see. Regarding EVE it is one of my favorite things DT have ever recorded.

Raise The Knife is a top 10 song for me, To Live Forever comfortably makes the top 15. Both are exceptionally great songs.

Eve is close behind, as is The Way It Used To Be.

To Live Forever was also released as a b-side on the "Lie" single, so using your logic it wouldn't count either.

Um, I think you guys know my choice.

BlobVanDam

To Live Forever and Raise The Knife. To be honest, most of the unreleased songs do nothing for me.
To Live Forever is very U2, but it's still a well written song, and the Live in Tokyo version is great. Raise The Knife is a good song, although the two other long songs that made it onto FII are far superior imo.

Speak to me and Eve are my favorites.
