Hello all, me and the drummer from my band did a guitar & drum split-screen cover video of 'On The Backs Of Angels'. Thought ye might be interested in checking it out! Let me know what ye think of it, it'd be much appreciated! :tup

You guys did an excellent job.  I might need to pick up my electric and start banging this one out.  Good job!  :metal

I don't mind that tons of people upload cover songs on youtube. I would be proud if I learned a DT song, so I'd want to share it, too. Great job, TheKillingHand! It sounded killer  :tup

Thanks for the comments guys, really appreciate it!  ;D

@Moonchild: I don't see how covering this is 'copying' other people..we simply wanted to cover it because its a great DT tune, not because other people are doing it

I can see your point.. but uhmmm it's not original to play others songs exactly like on record at least change something I say or write your damn tunes.

To me removes any interest of  any wannabe artist when he tries to emulate too much the real artists, youtube is filled with these kind of videos.

To stick to the subject and without any further bitching.. it's a nice copy and you and your friend play very well. Congrats.

Yeah that's fair enough, these kind of covers aren't for everyone. We're not trying to be original with it, its not our song...we write plenty of our own music, but every once in a while we like to challenge ourselves by learning covers, and since DT is a big influence on us we thought it would be fun to try this one. Thanks for watching and commenting anyway! :tup

Dude, lighten up and get off you artistic integrity high horse.  They are paying tribute to a band and a song they happen to love by playing it as recorded.  You know nothing else about them as musicians what-so-ever yet you feel compelled to judge them.  If you don't like it then don't watch it and stay out of the thread.  Your hate has no place here.

Great cover! Great sound, great playing.. and wow, I haven't listened to the original since a few days after its release, but those 8 minutes really just fly by every time! :-)

Keep on rockin' (in the free world..(sry))  :hat

Bro, that's all you really needed to say. I mean, we're all friends here aren't we?

Killing Hand, that's great stuff. That kid playing the drums did a great job!
Quote from: wkiml on June 08, 2012, 09:06:35 AMwould have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
