That's kind of what I was wondering.

What??? That list is f'in terrible... mars volta and Jethro Tull are hardly prog... I do agree with tool being ahead of DT in the drumming aspect, but idk.. that is a terrible order or prog bands. Rush is always amazing, but with ELP and King Crimson, idk how you could place who is first. lol

But.. you can't always rely on "The Internets" lol..

Your last comment is very true, as shown by the rest of your post.

Tull was very prog back in the day, and TMV is definitely proggy.

Ultimately, most people vote on what bands that are called prog they like the most, rather than voting based on which band happens to be the most progressive (technically).

From the Tull write up:

QuoteIn the early 19th century, Jethro Tull invented the seed-drill, effectively giving birth to modern agriculture. About 270 years later, a British band named Jethro Tull released Aqualung

Apparently Aqualung was released in the 2070's! :rollin

BTW, I know they meant 'the early 18th century'.

I GUESS YOU COULD SAY JETHRO TULL ARE SO PROGRESSIVE THAT THEY'RE AHEAD OF THEIR TIME.  :neverusethis:
