A few keyboardists I saw were good, but no singer from all the vids I've seen has actually done a good job.

I don't understand this.  They're obviously trying on some level.  The bass player actually got the parts for the song right.  The drummer can keep a beat.  But the guitarist is iffy and the singer is so bad.  But people are watching and cheering!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Is this some kind of elaborate joke the crowd's in on?  Do they just enjoy these guys because of some personal connection?  Does anyone know???

as a filipino with asian friends from all over the continent, there are asian countries like japan and korea where they barely know any english words beside "so", "power", "energy" and "FAAAAKKKK", but Indians speak good english. So please guys, cut the vocalists some slack because they're probably just enunciating the words like parrots, as they hear them without understanding a thing. they still suck really bad though. :lol

reminds me of the dream theater shreds video, but theyre doing it live. It must take huge talent to do that!  :biggrin:
some one please take the original another day video and replace the sound with one from the asses in your ass video!  :metal

I think it's a kind of karaoke party, one where people try to sing AND play the instruments. It's all just fun without serious ambition. Probably the people that are watching are going to participate themselves sometime in the course of the event, so it's not an audience that came to see a flawless performance of an actual coverband, but just some DT fans having fun with DT karaoke. And karaoke doesn't have to be good to be enjoyed. Actually, the worse it is, the more fun the people will have  ;D
