And yeah, the whole F# thing is rather ridiculous. Frankly speaking I think that vocal line there is a bit out of place. It somewhat competes with the guitar solo that comes after, to detrimental effect.

Whoa, wait a minute. As far as the album version, the whole build-up and F# bring in the guitar solo beautifully.

Seriously. The only time he really tried to compete with the solo was during Live Scenes, where it completely took the magic away from it.

See, I love that performance.

James does a good job his voice is clearly not what it once was but as long as he doesn't use a certain tone i've heard in a few videos he will be just fine. Mostly he hammers the note but my singer can hit that much easier then other notes in labries arsenal

My take is he usually misses, followed promptly by numerous people claiming, "he nailed it!"

Yes, this. He's almost always out of tune all the way up that vocal solo, and then hits the F# in a weak falsetto that lasts like half a second and then everyone is like WOOOOOOO F#.

Come on guys we all know JLB doesnt have the range to pull it off perfectly anymore but he does it the best he can.

I cant help thinking that we are forgetting that the WFS reprise is the single most amazing ending to any dt album and it is the LTL best encore.

8vm+WFS+LTL= most satisfying ending to a concert Ive ever seen.

Even Freddie Mercury had bad shows. His "Queen Rocks Monteral" show (from 1981), he wasn't hitting any of the high parts in that one.

i think that everyone is forgetting the james is what i would call an extreme singer he gets his voice to do some really amazing things and for his age and the bad vocal injury he suffered it is amazing that he can sing at all let alone go out and gig night after night so he will always get maximum kudos from me as i believe him to be one of the worlds best!!!

All of these.

So the F# is ridiculously out of place and competes with the guitar solo while building up the guitar solo beautifully? Therefore, you love the LSFNY performance because JLB took away the magic of the solo by singing over it?

...What? JLB hits G5s and G#5s all the time nowadays. Also an A5 back in '07. And he almost never actually misses the F#5 when he goes for it, maybe the notes before that.

:lol

No, I meant only the positive comments regarding LtL. I knew I had to edit that pyramid.
