Tyrias

i really wish I could go.

unfortunately, I'm a few thousand kilometres away from Vienna at that date.  :-\

but I'm definetely not gonna cancel a 4 week holiday to see a music show on one night.

Sixtease

Hey tri.ad, I had no idea you're Austrian. I'm not but living in Vienna. See you in Gasometer man!

tri.ad

Alright, cool.

What keeps me wondering is the lack of an announcement regarding the supporting act. Now there are several concerts without any supporting acts announced (also the gig for the day after tomorrow in Zurich)... makes me dream about a three-hour concert with DT only. But I guess there's going to be an announcement about it in due time.

MirzekDT

I'm going to be there too. Together with my brother and other two friends cause it's the closest concert to Slovakia and Bratislava. It's going to be my second concert (first was in Budapest) and I'm really looking forward to it

tri.ad

Well, for once, you're luckier than I am; it's a five-hour train ride for me, and you're just 60 km away... :lol

I'll be there too. Will be my 5th time seeing them, can't wait!  :metal

Cool, cool.

I added a roll call to the OP.

And I'm in! Got my night train ticket to Vienna today and then bought the DT ticket. W00t!

Is there a meetup happening?

rumborak

tri.ad

Awesome!

A meetup isn't organised yet, but I can tell you that I'll be there at around 4:30-5:00 (yeah, I'm a first-row guy).

Holy shit, yeah :lol Doors open at 8, right?
Well, I might be around early too. I will arrive with the train way in the morning, and once I figured out the hostel I'm staying at, I don't see myself exploring Vienna on the same day. And, I have to pick up the ticket at the venue anyway.

tri.ad

Doors open at 7, the concert officially starts at 8.

The Silent Cody

I almost had ticket for Vienna show.... it would be two days in a row with DT :) first Vienna then Katowice, but it only be one ;)

tri.ad

So, today, eh?

Hope to see some of you guys at the venue. :)

That was a great show.

Only thing that creeped me out was the guy in staff who was wearing an A7X t-shirt. And the kick drum was too loud.

I loved how JP fell asleep during TCOT mellow part. :-D

If me now be mistaken, then the setlist was like in 2011-07-23 - Civic Hall - Wolverhampton, UK

All in all, this gig could hardly have been better.

rumborak

Great vibe from the band, they really seemed to enjoy themselves.

I guess you didn't see the Vince Neil transvestite then... now that was creepy.

Only thing I didn't like so much about the gig was that the Gasometer has pretty bad acoustics.

BTW, did anyone see Amplifier? I totally missed them talking to these two guys, I still thought they were playing filler stuff inside.

I absolutely agree. The band was spot on and tight! I loved how JP and JR elaborated on the Count of Tuscany

The sound could have been a bit better, but it honestly didn't really bother me since DT was just so damn good. Never have seen James live in better shape.

(And I was impressed by the timing: DT started 9pm sharp, as noticed. However, did anybody manage to find _any_ merchandizing? We were scouting around quite a bit but in the end left without even a T-Shirt... Ah well...)

So JP commented on FB about JR's mozart???  What's that about?

JP.......  Great show last night. Thanks Vienna! Did you enjoy Jordan's Mozart?

rumborak

Mozart came in during the spaced-out in TCOT. JP started changing the chords, and JP was totally thrown for a loop. The chords then slowly morphed into a Mozart piece :)

I got in on the "Foyer rechts" entrance, and the merchandise section was right there. T-shirts, but all for 30 Euros, which is crazy.

Absolutely fantastic concert. I really enjoyed seeing them and the band were having a huge blast. MM received incredible acclaim (he even thanked the audience in German for the welcome ), and JLB sounded absolutely terrific.

I really liked the improvisation during the ambient part of TCOT; however, I didn't recognise that it was a Mozart piece.

MirzekDT

It was amazing concert I enjoyed 100% of every second. Too bad that I didn't know there will be that much people after some time and I had fifteen or twenty people in front of me even though I came inside something like half hour before opening band. If I would be closer to the stage it would be great but that's the only flaw I can think of it was sooo much awesome.

I don't know I think that 30 Euro for T-Shirt on tour that will probably last for many many years is okay. I bought it without much thinking. What is crazy is 5 Euro (or 4,50 I'm not sure) for a single beer that you will drink in few minutes!!! I know it has to be more expensive at concert but 5 Euro? OMG in Slovakia we usually have good large 0,5 l beer for 1 Euro and in expensive bars for 2 Euro maybe 3 Euro max. But I'm able to enjoy concerts without beer just fine so it wasn't that much of problem for me fortunatelly :)

Aquila Chrysaetos

It was fantastic!
We came flying all the way from The Netherlands to see this non-festival show.
Fatal Tragedy was especially well executed in my opinion.

O yeah, and a big FUCK OFF to the bitches next to me throwing beer and smoking in a non-smoking area.
Yeah, you're real tough girls.
