No offense to any FII lovers, but a song that was cut from that album.... I just don't see myself enjoying.  I already don't like most of those tunes at all.  B-sides to that seems not worth the hunt.  Thank you though, I appreciate the info!

Oh and great title for the imaginary release!  :-)

Honestly, it's like I said in the other thread, I'd take Raise The Knife and trade it for any song on the final FII release. I don't know what the hell they were thinking cutting it.

Oh really?  I don't remember reading that.  I will check it out then.

I recently got into Peruvian Skies since I will see it played live this year (likely - unless they rotate lists for the US tour), but even that song isn't amazing to me.  Much better than I originally thought - the heavy latter section is great, and took me by surprise (you can see how often I listen to that album...)!  I just can't get into any of the songs on that album though.  At least WDADU gave me YTSE...

It was in the FII Appreciation Thread, I think, that I said that.
I'm not trying to overhype it for you though. It did have to grow on me, and you might hear it and be like, "It's nothing special."

People overhyped Awake for me, and I was very disappointed with it.

Totally understand the over-hyping.  I got that with all the top DT albums when I discovered them.  I&W namely.  Plus SFAM and Awake, to a degree.

Funny thing is, after reading all that about Falling Into Infinity, how the label told them to cut it down and change the songs, I was expecting something COMPLETELY watered down, and I actually liked it a lot more than I expected to.

GasparXR

For the love of god, I can NOT pick a top 10 ordered. I can only name my top if they aren't in any order other than being my favourite 10 DT songs.

1) Metropolis Pt. 1
2) Learning to Live
3) Space-Dye Vest
4) The Dance of Eternity
5) The Spirit Carries On
6) Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence (not on purpose)
7) In the Name of God
8) Octavarium (wtf why is this happening? not on purpose again)
9) The Count of Tuscany
10) On the Backs of Angels :caffeine:
