The guys who absolutly nailed Metropolis pt.1 have done As I Am with a different vocalist. I think it reigns. Vocalist has a proper Myles Kennedy vibe about him.

In The Name Of Rudess

Didn't like the singer at all. His voice sounds heavily auto-tuned and effect laden. I'm sure he's a good singer, but he really doesn't sound good with this type of production IMO. Otherwise it's an awesome cover, especially the guitar solo.

Lynxo

I think he nails it better than Labrie. Awesome cover! :metal

Sixtease

Flawless. The singer kicked ass, just as all the others. I could barely hear the keys though, just like on the original.

tjanuranus

guitar solo is almost there. So close!

King Postwhore

Very good!  I think the new singer sounds a bit like the singer from Shinedown.
"I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down'." - Bon Newhart.

Mladen

Loved it, especially the guitar solo. The drum fill is the only thing that was kinda off, or maybe it's just me.

JPX

These guys should spend more time writing their own songs instead of trying to replicate Dream Theater songs note for note. They're obviously talented.

And yes that JP solo was a little sloppy.

Also they have one of the worst band names in the history of band names.

ReaPsTA

They did an incredible job aping the drum production from Train of Thought.

Zydar

Cool cover, and I liked the singer too.

SystematicThought

They always do such a great job on their covers. I liked the other singer that they had, this one ain't bad either.

krands85

Love these covers, Metropolis especially is breathtaking. It's not only the talent they have in replicating the songs, but the sound and mix are always brilliant too.

The guitarist and bassist (along with the vocalist from the Constant Motion cover and a different drummer) have an album written and I believe they're going to start recording it in September. Unfortunately the keyboardist (who was also in the previous cover versions) decided to leave the band, so I'm not sure what they're going to do in regards to that.

They already released 2 songs which are  :metal Really excited about hearing more of their songs.

peruvianskynewhampshire

as usual great job... The singer was fine, dont forget they are doing a cover, give em a break.I agree ,would love to hear some original stuff from them. I gave them 8  :metal out of 10 :tup

Vajra

A great cover indeed. I love the vocalist on the Metropolis cover, he's amazing.

edit: Ah, I thought the Metropolis singer looked/sounded familiar. I used to be obsessed with his covers a few years ago. He's a great singer. Will Shaw.

Infinite Cactus

Incredible. Also, Bad Salad FTW. I know this is a different band, but considering it usually consists of 2 or 3 of Bad Salad's members, I just wanted to say they are awesome.

rumborak

Those guys are such excellent musician, but damn, their own music does not connect with me at all.

Zook

I liked the little changes in the singing style. Twas nice. You'd call that phrasing right?

Nick

I really like what the singer did with some of the vocals, some really cool little changes.

Yeah, everyone should check out bad salad NOW!

OsMosis2259

Yeah these guys seriously kick ass.

Funny Story:
Will Shaw (singer from the Metropolis cover that they did) used to do DT/Symphony X covers in his car. I was at a Symphony X concert and ran into him  :) Talked to him for like an hour then met up with him at another SX and then a BTBAM concert.

This band is very talented and Thiago (guitarist) said on facebook that they will most likely do a cover of ON THE BACKS OF ANGELS when it comes out.
