I'm not going to listen to it because I don't want it to ruin when the album comes out, if it is real, that is. The link has been posted on JR's twitter. I don't know if it's legit but reading the comments makes it seem so. I'm not going to listen to it though.

JR replied back to it and said no it wasn't a leak. Perfectly honest, it sounds too produced to be a leak

tri.ad

Exactly. It's from JLB's Elements Of Persuasion, as far as I know.

Yeah, it's Slightly Out Of Reach

thank god for that. i'll probably check it out now, coz there were comments saying it sounded quite poppy so i'm glad it's not dream theater

If that was a new DT song, I'd be pumped because it's different from their recent output. I would love to hear a song like this.

Yeah - the fella who uploaded it has chosen to moderate all comments, so you've got a list of 1,000 or so people going "oh wow omg it's so brilliant!" preventing anyone from pointing out that, actually, it's a James LaBrie solo song. Can't even thumb it down.

Can't say I particularly approve - I understand that if you're going to deliberately mislead people you're going to watch your own back, but I think he's a bit of a spiteful little cunt. Good song, though.

Agreed with that Rob.

In any case I've edited the title and will be locking the thread, as whilst it is a false leak it could seed disinformation and theres no real need to discuss it.
