When Dream & #DTwarriors Unite

Hi guys,

Last week Becky Lädiges/@iHeartPortnoy (one the biggest hardcore Dream Theater fans in Australia) contacted me thru twitter, if I was interested in making a #DTwarrior tshirt/flag design. She started with this idea on twitter a long time ago where fans all around the world can talk 'bout our favourite band... DREAM THEATER! #DTwarriors is now a famous tag among DT fans on twitter and I got to meet a lot of cool people there. I also want thank @DTRobert who came up with the idea that I should be the one to design this. So thanks Rebecca and Robert!

Like most DT album designs I created a lot of symbolism like the burning barbe wire heart (Images & Words), the crows from Train Of Thought/Black Clouds And Silver Linings and ofcourse the famous Majesty logo in the background.

Two nights and 70+ photoshop layers later I came up with this... hope you all like it.

Her idea was more of make your own shirt if you want it...

Oh I meant on sale publicly. I can't imagine there'd be a problem if she made them and sold them privately to tag followers at cost (i.e. not for profit). But I'm not entirely sure as I'm not exactly a legal expert.

Indeed... all the artwork (covers/wallpapers) I make for DT is noncommercial... I just make these for my own pleasure.
The band is not in involved in my work, except the occasional work I do for MP and his website.
