BTW i watched the VATER video again, and mm plays something eerily similar to OTbOA

Exactly, that's what I noticed on the second or third listen. While watching the Vater video, I was asking myself if MM was using some beats/grooves that had ended up on ADTOE.

Super Dude

And people thought MP's drum set was big.  Damn.

I think it looks a lot more organized than MP's kits. :corn

Super Dude

Yeah I'd say so too, but it certainly is bigger.

As far as the number of drums, it's bigger, but as far as the sheer dimensions, it's smaller.

Actually, I pointed out somewhere that MM's drum set here has only 22 drums (4 octobans, 2 snares, 8 toms, 4 basses, 4 e-drum pads on the top rack) while MP's largest drum set, the Mirage Monster, had the same number (6 octobans, 2 snares, 9 toms, 3 basses, 2 e-drum pads). I do agree, though, MM's kit is a bit more compact, and not as spread out. Having the upper-rack really opens things up for him and allows him to be more vertical than horizontal like MP's recent Monster kits.

As for cymbals, MP may have had more (Stax and Crashes), but MM has his 4 hi-hats and symmetrically placed rides/chinas.

MM actually has 5 E-Pads. There's one for his left foot.

Watching that video made me realize that MM is the right replacement. Man is he good.
