I honestly would like to see more Jerry Uelsmann work like Train of Thought, but I don't know if it would ever be all that likely.

JPX

Also, David Lachapelle should definitely do the booklet photography.

Agreed. I also want the next album cover to be of Dave Chappelle. :neverusethis:

Grie's work got that look:

I like Syme so would have no problem if it was him again, but I agree with orcus that the collage-style ones are a bit... well, not very good. I'm really not a fan of the I&W, Awake or BC&SL artwork to be honest.

That'd be sweet. Train of Thought had some really cool artwork.

You should check out the rest of the man's work. He has a lot of really surreal, dark stuff which I am in love with.

I was thinking this would be such an awesome album title for DT11!

Then I remembered Falling into Infinity

I'll probably be okay with whatever they come up with, Syme or not. After the cover art for Iron Maiden's Dance of Death, almost every other CGI-laced work seems like a masterpiece in comparison.

I'd love to see them do something completely different. Like simply an artistic photo of some kind. No more photoshopped digital mishmash.

Agreed

My favorite DT album cover is probably Falling Into Infinity, but I don't see Storm coming back to do another one for some reason. I do think they will have another artist for the new one.

Aniland

I love Storm, but I hate that cover. Just... blech.

I honestly think Storm's cerebral style was very fitting for early DT, and I think his covers wouldn't fit an album that sounds like SC or BCSL. All of his covers make you think a bit, and you can see there was a ton of work put into it to use actual people and arrange props and stuff in a specific way. It's a lot more interesting than a collage of things done in Photoshop.

I wouldn't mind a "flat" cover like SFAM or SDOIT. The SFAM cover is memorable, even though you can barely tell what it is when you first look at it.
