It kinda fits the schedule. They will probably announce the new album before the tour kicks off, around the time they gather in NY to reharse the songs.

Mixing and Mastering won't take more than a couple of weeks. I'd reckon the album is ready at the end of May/beginning of June.

Mixing and mastering take at least three weeks in general. Seeing as JR finished tracking yesterday, I'd say that your thought is nothing but wishful thinking.

Ive said it before,and will say it again....many of DT's all time classics are 15min plus.I will be thrilled if the guys tried to push the boundaries and produce another epic or two .There cant be too many of you forum users/fans who prefer the shorter songs......or am i wrong?

And what was wrong with TCoT(apart from the over extended middle part)...brilliant song!!

I know what your saying,but DT's longer songs usually reflect a variety of styles and showcase Dream Theaters undoubted talents far better(imho)

Yeah, I guess I worded it wrong. I mean that even though only two of the tracks on BC&SL were shorter than ten mins, none of them were really "epics", as in the same way Learning to Live or Metropolis are considered epics, with the expection of TCOT I suppose..

It's not wishful thinking when you're taking what a person has said. He said it will be done. Not that the recording is done, but that the album itself will be done.
