Honestly, my initial reaction to his comment made me wonder "He didn't really have to emphasize the word 'ever'," because it made me think he was trying to being passively aggressive to the DT camp. I mean, I get it that he's not gonna be mundane about his recent work, but it's just something that, in the context of all the DT drama these past months, doesn't really help at all, and can be easily misconstrued.

Well, unfortunately he's not very good at realising what might be misconstrued. But in this case, I don't think he can take any of the blame.

ariich, I am, in no way, trying to step on your feet as far as modding.  I just wanted to let you know that I think Aniland was joking around with me because I was joking around with him last week and said the same thing to one of his posts ("Shut the hell up, Aniland," for which I was temp banned, even though it was a joke).  I'm just saying this because I don't think he meant it maliciously.

It's silly when mods try acting like an overzealous mother to her 3-year-old children. No need to babysit grown up people, this is just internet, nobody gets hurt.
When people start being afraid of even joking to one another, then that is more harmful than anything else.

Indeed it was the same joke that SE made, and SE was given a short ban for it, so that should be the first clue that it's not ok. "I was joking" is an excuse that only goes so far when abusive language is being used. I know he was joking, but that's not the point - it gives an air of aggression and hostility that is not welcome on this forum. Sure, some regular users will get the joke, but other people or visitors will see it and think that we allow abusive reactions like that. On its own, I'd probably have just given a slap on the wrist, but combined with his spamming in this thread and many others, I think a warning was appropriate.

Jahmet, I'd really suggest staying out of mod decisions that have nothing to do with you. Get to know the community better before you start making judgements like that!

I don't understand what your problem is. You started a thread basically accusing MP of taking a jab at DT when it's pretty clear that he didn't, so people pointed that out to you. Maybe a couple of people were slightly hostile, but nobody was being abusive to you, just answering your post.

Well, obviously you don't fit in there then if you don't understand (1) what it was about your post that got negative feedback, and (2) what the problem is with deleting the content of an initial post in a thread midway through a discussion.  That has got to be the most annoying and childish behavior I have yet to see on these forums since I joined (and I've obviously been here awhile).  That is trolling of the highest order.  Do it again and you're gone for good.

And, SnakeEyes, you were warned and banned in the past, are on final warning, and apparently still don't understand that it is not okay to post about the modding on the main forum.  You had already earned a perm ban and were given a second chance.  Apparently, you forgot just how thin the ice is.  Step out of line again in any way, shape, or form, no matter how slight, and you are gone forever.
