Morphwiz makes a comeback in DT11

Don't know about you guys, here's my 2 cents. Many fans get the Morphwiz to sound right, but when I think of JR himself playing the Morphwiz or anything like that, the first thing that comes to mind is...ugh...AROP instrumental section.

Don't get me wrong there, I love JR's solos like 99% of the time. It's just his Morphwiz solos, and the fact AROP is deep in the bottom part of my top DT list.

My mistake then, I just generally prefer keyboards over iPod/iPad apps but maybe it's just me. Also, I just stated my opinion of AROP/it's solo, never said anything about others.

He used his morphwiz app a lot at the tarrytown show with labrie, and it sounded very nice. very melodic and beautiful. I like this.

The version of Hourglass played on the Morphwhiz with JP playing backing sounds amazing, so I'm alright with this.

If used well any instrument could help make a DT album more and more awesome, look at the continuum as an example, but I just hope this doesn't end up hurting the album like bebot did.

Well, if he uses the MorphWiz like he did in all his demos, great. But I don't really want to hear it being used like the Bebot in AROP.

Which should say that I'd be happy if the MorphWiz makes an appearance in a melodic song.

BeBot is pretty much kindergarten compared to MorphWiz. He could produce an insane variety of sounds with this, can't wait.

I'd honestly be happy if JR used his iPad apps on the album.  I want him to record his tracks using sounds that interest him, because it will make the performances more spirited.  Obviously, none of that matters if the keyboards don't suit the song, but I'm willing to have a little faith.

After seeing the MorphWiz performed live last week, I'm personally excited to see it on the new album. He is indeed very spirited when performing with it and it's quite beautiful.

Well, I, for one, was blown away by his playing bebot on the iPhone at the concert for BCSL in Atlanta.  Tripped me out that an iPhone could sound that good.  Bebot is pretty fun little app and like others said comparing Morhpwiz to Bebot is kind of like comparing a child's tricycle to the space shuttle....

That video is really good. However, I've always liked the ending because of the look on JP's face. He's like -Yeah, that's pretty cool
