I think it's over today cause one of the mods changed "New Drummer" to "Mike Mangini" in the title of this thread.

Fuck that was good, sometimes he seems chaotic you feel he fucks up the timing but he doesn't.

This may be a silly question, but is Mangini going to play drums on the new album?  Wasn't the album being recorded before he joined the band?

They started writing the album in January. John sent demos to Mangini supposedly. They began recording in March. All happened when MM was in the band

Well, as of November 2010, he was still living in Boston. I wouldn't say that him moving to NY is inevitable; MP and his family live in Pennsylvania and it worked well; also, for the audition, MM came to NY by train. Sure, it would make things a bit easier, but it's not necessary imo.
