It's got nothing to do with his accent. It's the fact that he does not speak English well at all (whereas on the basis of your posts, your English is perfect). How is he meant to interact and hang out with the other guys when away on tour for weeks on end? It just doesn't make sense.

I'll be ok with any of them. They're all outstanding and any of them will bring their uniqueness to the band. It's gonna cause them all to think a little differently, which I think could be refreshing.

Only from the clips they've shown us so far, where it was clear that his English is really not strong. I thought it was commonly established that his English was bad, but it could be that it was the case a few years ago and that he's improved now, I don't know, but those short clips didn't fill me with confidence. Perhaps it will be clearer one way or the other when we see the full segment on his audition.

I was lucky enough to meet Priester after I saw Angra live in Vienna in 06/07. I talked to him for a bit, and we understood eachother perfectly. Then again, I'm Brazilian

He was really cool, signed the setlist for me and has an awesome signature.

Cool. That means I said sombrero to the real Priester. Not that I have any idea who he is (don't know any of the drummers to be quite honest) but at least I can now say I said sombrero to someone kinda famous.
