DTF Official Status?

Did anyone ever confirm for sure that it was Prater?  It seems too obvious for him to have used a name that could be easily found online.  Not sure if that is really solid proof.

Anyway, yeah, stay far away from dt.net.

in my opinion, this is probably the best DT forum on the net. there really aren't any alternatives.

alternatives as compared to the quality of this site. there are plenty of other "dt related forums" I could post in, but I choose this one due to not just the activity, but also the overall quality and respect this site garners.

there aren't any alternatives = on this sites level. not as in there aren't other boards i could post in, because there are. I just personally choose this one to participate in.

I'll agree that there's no benefit to being "official".  We never received any benefits for being official (even MP avoided the place), aside from that the label convered hosting costs.  There was always an axe being held over our necks when we were associated with dt.net, and it did finally fall.

As it is now, it's the best of both worlds...we have freedom and self-determination, but it's also the reconized as the leading forum, and we have band members lurking and occasionally even responding (albeit in other venues).

The situation in the past is in the past and was piss poor, but we are entering a new era and I am confident that if the offer was made something very beneficial for the community could be worked out. And as I already stipulated, myself (and nearly everyone else it seems) would only do if if the only leverage the band had was the threat of once again removing the title. Same forum, same people, just kicked up to the next level.

I agree. This forum has the perfect amount of active members, IMO
