Neutral. I just keep listening for something to click with me.

Has not happened yet.

I like the idea of it, but it's way too long.  I goes from, "this is an artistic statement" to, "okay, they're just doing this for the hell of it now."

I quite like the ending. The breath that can be heard when the music fades back in is downright chilling.

I love that, too.  Honestly, that is one of my favorite moments of the entire 6DOIT record.

And like I always say, Rudess' keys during that outro are killer.  They sound like spiders crawling up your back.

Great song, except for the last two minutes. The ending really does bring the song down...

I LOVE it. I wish they'd do more of it.

One of my Dream Theater favorite albums ever.

The Degenerate

Absolutely. One of the most unique things they've done.

That outro is a typical example of the fresh sonic experimenting found on SDOIT. Too bad they totally abandoned it on their next records. IMO, that was the direction they should've best taken. Nonetheless, I enjoy every post-SDOIT album very much, except SC not so much. But that's not the issue here. That outro is eerie and sets a great mood for The Great Debate.

Used to dislike it now I love it, mostly because I wasn't that much into that experimental type of music at the time I was getting into DT and into SDOIT. But today whole song is one giant masterpiece for me including the ending.
