How can a band be in the studio, writing new songs and that no one has seen the new drummer? I mean someone has to be staking out the studios or their haunts and has had to of seen something!

Had a thought last night and figured I'd post it.

I'm wondering if DT is going to use this album to say with music and lyrics everything they have
not said through this whole process.

Yeah, possibly, but I can't see them taking any direct shots at MP.

I've often wondered how comfortable JP and JM were with the lyrics to Raise The Knife.

But no one really knows JP or anyone else, as MP basically did all of the publicity. I think one of the more interesting things of the new era is thinking that we may get to know the band a little better. I'm not sure that we will, but I think that adds to the excitement of this change.
Quote from: wkiml on June 08, 2012, 09:06:35 AMwould have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Quote from: Stadler on February 08, 2025, 12:49:43 PMI wouldn't argue this.

I feel ya, I was born in '67 and think that maybe I'll hit puberty right about the time my sons graduate college.  :tup

I also told my wife once that my next wife was most likely now just getting into high school.

...the year of Sgt. Pepper
and Are You Experienced

Into a suburban heaven
yeah it should've been forever
it all seems to make so much sense

But after a while
you realize time flies
And the best thing that you can do
is take whatever comes to you
'Cuz time flies

And I love thee.

But I really don't want a division or future discussions of any how because I have a problem with one user in this forum.

Settle this on the playground, boys.

I wouldn't be surprised if they call the new album Crossroads.  That pretty much sums up what they've been going through the last 6 months.

Classic Steve Vai......at least it wasn't the Britney Spears movie.  :)

SeventhSon

Does 'having the album written' include lyrics, I wonder? I don't think the band has mentioned anything on that front.

[/quote]

Let's put it this way:

"Innocent Faded" - JP wrote about the deterioration of his relationship with Kevin Moore, while Kevin was still in the band.

"Where are You Now" - JP writes about Kevin Moore's departure.

I am sure we will see some references to the Portnoy debacle in at least one song.

DT has learned to live with what the other members have to say in their own individual lyrics.
