It was definitely funny seeing, "I was given 14 hours of footage to edit into a video. Over 10 hours were of Mike drumming". Very telling.

But yeah, the rest of the video is just... weird...

It wasn't that uncomfortable to watch.

It was much more humorous than uncomfortable. Yeah, it was stupid, but I don't think it was meant to be taken seriously in the first place.

Portnoy is like the kid in school who thinks he's hilarious but just isnt. At All. And people only encourage him so they can laugh at him behind his back later.

I know it wasn't meant to be taken seriously and that it was supposed to be funny/silly. But seeing a guy stick his tongue out into a camera and act weird in slow motion.......is just uncomfortable.

I was just told it was a funny video. If someone had said "check out this video of Mike Portnoy laughing into a camera" I just would have skipped it.

That look that JLB gave after JP told him he was singing the wrong words was priceless.

And this makes me wonder how much more efficiently the band will work in studio now. This makes it seem like MP was just some goofball who followed the band around with a camera getting everyone distracted with his antics.

I'm sure that's not really true, but there was an uncomfortable level of not-focusing-on-my-work in this video.

It's in Lifting Shadows. Basically, from what I can recall, the band weren't happy with James' contributions to the songwriting sessions or his onstage performances throughout the Scenes Tour. They pretty much said "shape up or ship out."
