Holy crap I can hear it! I'm pretty sure I hear it...weird!

It's very subtle, but it definitely adds a very interesting layer to the song.

Hearing about Kevin Moore's second layer of vocals on SDV made me curious.

So I plugged in my Beats Solo HD's into my soundcard, and closed my eyes, and pressed the headphones snugly against my ears.

Then I listened.

Sure enough, Kevin's haunting singing is all there.  I adjusted and listened past James' singing, and wow.  It blew me away.  I think they probably add a huge amount of power to the song, a huge amount of atmosphere and emotion.

Try it for yourselves.  Get some really nice headphones or speakers, and shut the world out and listen to SDV.  It's all there.

What's so unbelievably freaky is that the exact same thought- that there's possibly KM singing there- came to my mind just a few days back and I've never heard of this before.

I actually found a better and cheaper way of hearing KM's vocals there: took my cheap Nokia headphones which have a TRRS jack and plugged them all the way in. For some songs, this leaves the 'backing' sounds while suppressing some of the main sounds, that's exactly what happened, esp. for the first verse. IMO, one recognize it even more clearly if one has heard KM's SDV demo.

If you use a vocal remover effect/plugin (usually called a Karaoke effect), which will mix out JLB's vocals in the center pan position, you can hear it very clearly without any other vocals, just incase anyone wants to try it.

The song sounds damn cool with just the ghostly vocals.

The bass line is also much more prominent.  Like a ghostly drum pounding every few moments.
