Can someone explain to me why MP leaving would affect DT listening habits?

When MP left I went through a period of mourning
No offense but... for real?

Hey, I was pretty bummed too. MP was my favorite member of the band for the first few years I was a fan.

Didn't affect me at all. In fact, I tend to listen to those awkward bits of MP growling and whatnot, and think "oh god, finally I won't have to listen to these things anymore".

nothing has changed for me
they hold a special place in my heart
I listen to them when I need to
I will listen to whatever new musical devilery they come up with

Beautiful poem.

Yeah, it's like a creed or something.  More than a motto or slogan, more elegant than a simple mission statement.

To a degree certainly. I'm not saying I was walking around crying or seeing MP's face wherever I went, but I certainly had a reaction, disbelief, anger and that hurt feeling in the gut etc. This band have been a huge part of my life for 22 years. My longest relationship has lasted 6 (and counting).
