Ultimetalhead

Devin's production style was a little bit lacking in the beginning. I've always thought Ocean Machine was a poor choice to start someone off on Devy's music. First off, it's incredibly dense. Lots of layers that need peeling away to fully appreciate, and the production style really isn't that great compared to the modern day albums like Ki and Addicted, but even when compared to an album like The New Black or Synchestra. Yes, it's wall-of-sound, but it's still got dynamic range (Well, maybe not The New Black :lol), and the quieter parts make the heavier parts all the more powerful.
