There are too many threads here on this forum regarding the departure of Mike Portnoy.
So Mike decided to leave, big deal. Sure he was in the band for over 25 years.
Mike left DT on his own terms, nobody in the band said Mike you gotta leave cause we've had enough of you.
What you gotta understand peoples is that things change and people change.
Mike decided to leave cause he just wasn't feeling it anymore in DT and decided on his own terms that he should move on to bigger and better and brighter things.
And so should all of you.
It's no use being sad and angry cause he left.
The excellent thing about all this is that auditions are being held for a new drummer/singer and also that this will herald a new era of DT.
And also a new album next year as well.
Just one word if I may.
When DT announce the new drummer/singer please embrace this person with open arms. It will make him/her feel quite at home and please accept him or her for whom they are.
In the meantime why not get James LaBrie's new album or any new album by DT members.
Don't bother sending me smarta** pm's about this cause you will be reported and could be removed.
Forget the past and embrace the future of a new era in DT history.
The new DT Drummer/singer and album will be announced all in good time.
Good things happen to those whom wait.
