Wow... so you had a $1,000 just laying around to spare, eh, Zep? :lol

Lol.  Way more than I'd be willing to spend.  I very rarely go over $250 for any individual item.  I think I've only done that twice in the 10+ years I've been collecting, and both times those were for ridiculously rare/unique items.  (Most I ever spent on ANYTHING was $500... and that was for a museum-worthy item that I bought directly from Charlie D).

Perpetual Change

I doubt anything the dominator had on his hands could be worth $500, but, hey, beauty's in the eye of the beerholder. I'm sure most people would question more than a few of my more expensive purchases!

May i ask what the item was?

So what makes the White label 600 bucks more then the Purple?

What? What he's saying is that the tape itself has different songs on it. It's not THE Majesty Demos. The track listing is radically different, and has some pre-WDADU songs on it, all instrumental. Assuming it's entirely real, the production on the $1000 tape must be a LOT smaller than that of the Majesty Demos tape.

Yo Zep did you see this one?

That's a different tape. The Majesty demos are tapes that MP sent out when they were still trying to be picked up by a label.

They are entirely different recordings. One is instrumental demos and the other is a demo tape sent out by the band to record companies. The one that sold for $1,000 has to be much much rarer.

They made 1,000 of the purple one.  That was the demo that they actually distributed to people.  The white label/instrumental thing is super rare.  I actually didn't even know it existed.  It's probably something out of the personal archives of somebody close to the band.  I wouldn't be surprised if its the only copy in existence.

Tick

I'd have no real interest in even paying 10 bucks for it, but that's just me.

I've got a sealed copy of the purple one and I might have gone to $200 on the white label had I known it was around.
