Maybe if he didn't ditch the band...

Get a clue.  I have never trolled this forum in my life and ain't about to start now; that is not my M.O.  Kevin Moore left the band; he did not ditch the band.  The two things are not the same.

ZKX-2099

Leaving a band at the time he did = ditching.

ZKX-2099

By all means elaborate how is that not ditching?

hefdaddy42

I understand how it could seem as though he ditched, but I don't think he did.

ZKX-2099

Right when they were starting to promote their follow up to their breakthrough?

Yes, it was bad timing for the band, I agree.  But that doesn't mean that he "ditched" them.  He was no longer on the same musical page as them (which is painfully obvious, given the music produced by both DT and KM since their split).  It was the right move for both parties, no matter how bad the timing may have seemed at the time for DT.

Rationalizing him ditching still means he ditched.

FFS, whatever.  I'm not rationalizing.  I'm looking at the situation objectively.

You're trolling.

Look who's talking.

And I agree with hef, I also don't think that KM's actions in leaving should be classified as "ditching the band".

ZKX-2099

Yet nobody can explain how him leaving when they were starting to promote their follow up to their breakthrough CD is not ditching.

He wasn't interested in being in DT anymore. What was he supposed to do, stay for a whole world tour playing music he really doesn't care for? I suppose once you join a band you're in it for life, eh?

hefdaddy42

ENOUGH.  It would be great if ONE thread here could not get derailed.  Enough about KM "ditching" DT.

ZKX-2099, if you want to continue this line of thought, feel free, but please start a separate thread for it.  Maybe even a poll?
