I listened to SFAM last night, and during said listen, I noticed that the newspaper in the artwork was dated January 28, 1928, which means that Victoria was murdered 82 years ago yesterday. RIP.

:omg:  Nugget!!!

Jamesman42

That's really weird! I set my thermostat to 82 degrees, counted 82 pennies with my thumbs, and ate 82 calories from my raisins. Crazy coincidence!?!?!?
\o\ lol /o/

bosk1

Maybe.  Were the 82 pennies in a Ragu jar?

Jamesman42

They were in 82 different socks.
\o\ lol /o/

Omg.

SFAM is Dream Theater's 5th studio album. 5x5x5=125.

SDOIT was DT's 6th studio album. 6x6=36.

125 - 36 = 89. 89 - 5 (the number of members in DT) = 84.

84 - 2 (the number of the studio album with DT's radio hit!) is 82!!

82!!! :dangerwillrobinson:

8 + 2 = 10 BC&SL was DT´s 10th album!!!
8 - 2 = 6 BC&SL was the sixth album with Jordan!
8 x 2 = 16 ANTR, the first track on BC&SL, is 16 minutes long!!!
8 / 2 = 4 and there were 4 different editions of BC&SL: single CD, 3-disc Special Edition with instrumental mixes and cover songs, double vinyl LP, and a Deluxe Collector's Edition Box Set

So BC&SL is actually Metropolis pt. 3!

Long live DTF.

And SFAM.

wow. Aren't you clever?

Just thought that needed to be bolded for you.

Tuneman

I had a same experience.   SFAM was the first DT album I listened to and when I got to the end of The Spirit Carries On i was so blown away - I literally leaned back in my chair and said "holy shit"

Very few people will know that one, bosky!

Tied with SDOIT with me. I always listen to SFAM or even the 2nd Disc of SDOIT start to finish. No way I could listen to separate parts.

I love how the album takes you through so many emotions; for the longest time I would almost burst into tears when the choir part of TSCO hit me. I think that's one of the most powerful moments in music. Not just in the DT catalog, but in any music.

I sat myself down last week and listened to the entire album again, and it's as awesome as the first time.  :metal

DarkLord_Lalinc

Not as awesome as you are, of course.  :hat

The whole album is just a beautiful piece of art. It is my first DT CD. Though I'm not a fan of ballad songs, the softer songs in this album really got me attached. It's just  :metal  :)

As many have said before and many will say again . . . what an experience this album is.  I was planning to go to sleep at some point, and decided to listen to the first few tracks.  I'm on TDOE now.  I've gone this far, might as well finish it!
