Rx Bandits

anyone here listen to this band?  they're an intersting mix of rock, punk, and reggae, with some progressive rock influences.  at times they remind me of bob marley, led zeppelin, the police, king crimson, and the dear hunter.

The only song I've heard by them is their cover of Megadeth's Holy Wars. It was certainly a unique attempt, but they couldn't manage the vocals or the solos and I was unimpressed overall. I'm not really a fan of their death-ska style.

that's not their style at all; they don't have any death or metal influence on their actual albums.  that was from a 'punk does metal' cd thing.

i recommend checking out their other stuff.

Wow, I actually saw them at a concert on campus back in '03 or '04 and didn't really get into them.  Haven't even given them a thought until you bring them up now.
Please check out our band, Agora Forte, www.reverbnation.com/agoraforte

the more i listen to them, i notice that they like using odd time signatures, and their drummer is really good.

as much as my last association was with their fans in St.Paul walking out on dredg, this still sucks as I am/was a fan of them.

Well, they have RX in their title, so I'm already on board since that's my career and stuff, but better yet I actually am liking their music too. So that's definitely a plus.

Bumping this to say that I've rekindled my love for this band recently. I used to listen to them a bit 6-7 years ago and kinda liked them. I appreciate them a whole lot more nowadays. Their most recent album, Gemini, Her Majesty, is beautifully crafted and I'm loving it. Also really digging ...And the Battle Begun a whole lot more. Great band

They are a really great band. Their band was rooted in ska punk (which was how I came to them) but they have developed into a more progressive rock act with ska/reggae tinges at times. As my musical tastes have developed this band hit the spot for me now more than they used to.

Try Gemini, Her Majesty next. It's a great, great album.

The band are due to start a 10 year anniversary American tour (of ...And the Battle Begun) soon. If you live close enough to check them out then I am very jealous.
