American Dad is killing Family Guy.  It's so much better right now.

The first few times I watched American Dad when it came out I wasn't impressed. However, in the past year or so I've grown to love the show. Definitely much better than Family Guy on all levels.

Oh, and how many times are Brian and Stewie going to go back in time? Christ.  :lol

Yeah, it took me a few episodes but I feel in love with all the characters for AD. superb show.

I had started watching 30 Rock years ago but never finished it...starting on season 1 again...this show makes me laugh out loud a few times per episode. Baldwin is hilarious, such great characters on the show.

It's a good thing you've seen the light with regards to AD, otherwise you might have been in some trouble :P

Baldwin is the best part of 30 Rock, especially the earlier seasons (with Tracy a close second). "It's after 6pm. What am I, a farmer?"

Best comedic written show around and how Baldwin delivers that lines is gold.

Also Dr. Spaceman had the best lines ever

While I like a lot of situational shows like MASH or Cheers, they just don't have the same lasting appeal as more story driven shows or miniseries.

The three that take the cake for me, and are incidentally all tied together by sharing producers are...

Deep Space Nine
The Dead Zone
Battlestar Galactica(2000's)

Miniseries are harder for me to remember, but one that I got surprisingly hooked on was the recent Little Dorrit, an adaptation of Dickens' series of novellas with the same name.

American Dad is killing Family Guy.  It's so much better right now.

Roger is my 2nd favorite TV character, right behind Cartman. He's a true gift of a character. I also agree that American Dad is better than Family Guy, as much as it pains me to say that.

Just finished watching the first season, and overall, the damn show's effing hilarious.

Shows I will watch:
Anything by David Attenborough
Anything by Michael Palin (This includes Ripping Yarns, not just documentaries)
Anything by Terry Jones. (Also includes Ripping Yarns... obviously)
Monty Python (Yes, technically also included by previous two things)
South Park
Blackadder

Shows I probably will watch:
QI
Scrubs
Futurama
The Simpsons

So yeah, I'm a fan generally of sketch shows, particularly the more insane ones. Also, nature/history/culture programmes. Wild China is another which is interesting me of late. Even better, it's narrated by Theoden (well, Bernard Hill... Still makes it slightly badass).
This is as exciting as superluminal neutrinos. The sexy thing is that this actually exists :D

Awesome list - I don't watch Six Feet Under or Deadwood (although I did get given Deadwood and mean to watch it at some point), or Survivor, and I assume The Office is the US one which I don't like (but the original is one of my favourite comedies), but the rest are all ones I really like or love - the top two being two of my top three TV shows ever. Have you seen The Shield? If not you might like it since you probably have the other 6 of my favourite 7 TV dramas on that list.

Never heard anyone say that about The League.

It's so aggressively plain.  It's miles below (and I mean miles)) below the other FX comedies.
