Band name: The Marshalls Ivy Road

Band type/genre: Rock with pop melodies

DTF Members involved: Zydar

Instruments: Drums, bass (me), guitar

Website: https://www.facebook.com/ivyroadsweden

Status: We are five people (3 guys and 2 girls) who started as a cover band, but have now completely gone over to original material. We have been playing together since October 2008 and have had a few gigs so far in the local area. We started by playing covers from bands like Thin Lizzy, The Killers, Kansas, The Cranberries, and The Hellacopters. Now we write rock songs with a pop flair to it, and have recorded and released a demo with 10 original songs, and more to come. You can listen to them all on both sites (look above). We've done a few gigs around town during this year together, and will be trying to get some more.

Update 2011-09-12: We are currently just the three guys, since both our singers left the band from various reasons. We are at the moment just writing some material, and recording them. We have recorded two songs with our guitarist's little sister Johanna who were kind enough to sing on them temporarily before she left the city for studies. The songs are Until The End and Supernova. We are currently not booked for any gigs, we need a new singer first.

Update 2015-03-17: We decided to change our name to Ivy Road. New name, new songs, same four members.

STATUS: First album 'Depth to Depth' just released. It is an epic tale of space, the darkest reaches of the ocean and of the human soul. The story takes place above the Mariana Trench, off the coast of Guam, where a traveller is cast overboard by a chaotic storm at sea. As he descends to the depths of the trench his soul loosens from his body and begins its ascent to the surface. Upon reaching the surface the traveller soars through the atmosphere an into space. Through his journey he witnesses wonders such as Proxima Centuri, the collapse of a star and the most destructive force in all the universe, a black hole. Top Five Influences: Metallica, Meshiggah, Pantera, Tool, Katatonia
Status: Joined band in January 2009, fired vocalist that month. Fired bassist in July. Haven't been able to find bassist nor vocalist since then. Lead guitarist left last month and we haven't been able to find a replacement- not to mention, he left the day I told him we had a real gig coming up soon (late April). So now, it's just the rhythm guitarist and I and we're working on a twenty-minute long piece right now that I'm very excited about, but I'm furious that we have a show at a tavern this month and have no lead guitarist, no bassist and no vocalist. The show was booked without me being consulted beforehand and a member left the day I told him about the gig. So, I'm pretty pissed and we're pretty fucked.
