I just gave a few songs on Ashes Against the Grain a listen. I really like "Fire Above, Ice Below" a lot.

It's such a good, fresh take on what was a pretty stale genre (folk metal). Can't wait for their new album

I've been listening to the Mantle lately as well, and I'm totally hooked by In the Shadow of Our Pale Companion. I love the atmosphere of the album in general.

Personally, Ashes Against the Grain is my favorite, but its pretty fantastic that Agalloch has made 3 albums that are all masterpieces.
One of my favorite bands, and i can't wait for the next album. :>

Yeah, Ashes Against the Grain is probably one of the greatest albums ever created, imo. That and The Mantle are all I've heard from them though.

I like AAtG better, but Sigz will tell you differently. You can't really go wrong with either one though.

Ashes Against the Grain is my favorite, but The Mantle and Pale Folklore are both godlike as well.
And lets not forget the EP's, both The White and The Grey are amazing.
