Diffidentia (new solo project by me)
« on: November 14, 2009, 08:51:05 PM »
Well, I figure what the hell. I wrote and recorded 9 songs to a new cd under the name Diffidentia. The music is done, the vox are mostly written, but I can't find a singer good enough to do it, so no vox yet, but there will be. So far, I just set up the myspace barely. No info on it, just a lame pic and a 3 minute sampler. I just took random sections of songs and badly spliced them together.

The style is metal. Influences ranged from Into Eternity, Arch Enemy, Fear Factory, Dream Theater, Stone Sour and so forth.

If you guys wouldn't mind listening to the 3 minute teaser and giving general thoughts, I'd appreciate it.

And yes, I'm well aware where I got the name from.

Sounds cool man, all I could think of during the intro was a band called Domain, a pretty cool irish folk/power metal band that y'all should listen to.  Check out the tracks King's Tears or Last Day Of Utopia and you'll see what I mean.

Why don't you ask Charlie...or at least forward him the link to see what he thinks of the music.

See how much it would cost him to sing.
Of if he's interested that kinda thing.
Take care everyone - Bet you all didn't even notice I was gone.

Happy Lives to you all.

Charlie who? Domminici? He couldn't sing half that stuff. I was actually talking to Stu Block from Into Eternity about singing on it, but he kind of dissapeared after a while. Tim Owens would also be pretty awesome for at least half the stuff. But I have no clue how to contact him.

Sounds really good!

But with a band name like that, I would expect to see PoS listed in your influences  ;)

I love PoS, but they didn't influence this project. You can hear some PoS (SOME!) in my other solo project www.myspace.com/fanticide , but PoS isn't the easiet band to fuse with other styles.

Sounds awesome. Best of luck in your singer search.

The songs on the Fanticide page are old. I am actually re-recording a ton of them with some new songs for a well done CD. So you can't hear too much PoS on the ones listed, I don't think anyway. Unless Divine Unity is up there, which was very inspired by BE.
