Sacred Oath Thread
« on: November 07, 2009, 02:03:36 PM »
I made this thread because it seems like literally no one here knows of them. They are a power metal band from the '80's that only released one album before disbanding, and since the '00s have gotten back together and put out some more CDs. Their old stuff is the exact definition of power thrash (  :metal ) and their new stuff is power metal, but heavier and a little different then say, Stratovarius. The band I compare them to is Iced Earth, and they are very similar in most ways (They were actually going to do a European tour with Iced Earth and Saxon). Here's a link to a song from the '80 and one from the '00s. I personally like both eras but you guys might like one or the other.

'80s: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-rC9zv8Ho4

'00s: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkf76eSaWR8

I've seen them live twice, have met the band members (I'm friends with the lead singer on Facebook too  :lol ), and have opportunities to be at their rehearsals. They're really cool guys and deserve to be better known than they are.

EDIT: I also think it's worth mentioning that they toured extensively with Fates Warning also.

Good stuff, I preferred the '00s stuff though.
