So we're stuck in a voting tournament of who people like better whether we like it or not? No thanks. :|

Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

No one ever really had a problem with this in past years, it's all in fun, just let it be.

And the first group of qualifiers is up, go vote!

Yeah, I know it's all in fun, but there are many people who I know won't treat it that way, and I get enough hate from certain people without giving them another excuse. I'd really rather not be in this. It only takes a few people to ruin it for everyone else, and the fun of this is long gone for me.

A cool thing would be adding the avatar of the member in the vote polls. Maybe I'm a little slow, but some members I just only recognize them with the avatar.

Understandable, but for these things there is always the "report to moderator" button.

Yeah, that would be cool, but just too much of a pain in the ass. :lol

So yeah, I still don't want to be in this. And I'm pretty pissed off that I can't even request to not be in this.

:lol Sorry, couldn't resist.

But seriously though, the number of people who always seem like they're setting out to annoy you I can count on one hand. I really don't see that having a big impact on the voting!

It's all in fun, Blobby. Who cares what the naysayers say. Then again, it gives more leverage for others to win if you don't participate.  :lol

I don't know, let's just have fun with it.

It's not a matter of voting, I just don't want to be a part of this. Nothing about this forum is much fun for me right now.
And I don't know how many fingers you have, but it's a lot more than that. Certain people from certain other forums like to take cheap shots at me on other forums where they think certain other people can't see them, because they don't have any common decency or respect for anyone else.

But yeah seriously, "other forums" are irrelevant. I was talking about the people here. And even then I don't think they dislike you, they just seem to get a kick out of riling you up.

Well in case you've forgotten, a lot of people from "other forums" are members here. And it's really not that hard to avoid having another excuse for them. It would just be a lot easier. But whatever, I see I have no say in it anyway.

I think we can dispense with the "other forums" euphemism, everyone knows what we're referring to :lol I dunno though, as far as I'm aware the vast majority of the people who post at both are pretty cool.

Nick's running this thing though, so the decision is up to him. I think it'll be a bit of fun though, as it always is :)

I don't think he's a controversial person, it's just that Awake thing that provoke people to annoy him, it's normal for any decent person to not give a hoot about these people.

If not their avatars, can you at least provide a link to their profile?  That' make it easier to see who they are, what there last posts were, and when they're active.
Argument, the presentation of reasonable views, never makes headway against conviction, and conviction takes no part in argument because it knows.

WTF  That's pretty fucked up.

BTW, I would say that people should be able to opt out of this if they want.

Honestly, part of the reason I'm not doing it is because it generally has an air of being too cool or too... special to take part in such a tournament. It just seems in two months when we're all joking about results if people are opting out they will be saying how childish it was and how they didn't take part yada yada.

It has been by post count in the past, and everyone has participated in the past without issue, I don't see what the big deal is. If you really don't care about it just don't follow it.

It's not trying to be cool. It's trying to avoid another excuse to continue the constant ridicule and hate because, heaven forbid, I don't like one fucking album. And it's unfair that I'm forced into being judged by the forum whether I like it or not.

If anyone actually judges you on that then it's definitely them that has a problem, not you. But I'm pretty certain nobody here is pathetically childish enough to base their opinion on someone on their musical taste regarding one album.

Well, since two of my fellow mods came out in support, I guess I'll remove Adami, blob, and two others for other reasons leaving the final 8 spots to be determined by the qualifier.
