What Political Party or Affiliation? : New Democratic Party (Canada)

What religion (or lack thereof) are you affiliated with? : I believe there isn't a creator, but realize the existence of one can't be disproven.

What is your stance on:

- Abortion: In specific situations, acceptable.

- Gay Marriage: All for it.

- Health care: Universal. Works for me :tup

- Gun control: Strict, handguns and long guns.

- Illegal Immigration: Not a huge problem here, but against.

- War (Iraq/Afghanistan/War in general): Against, but there's going to be no end, and I laugh at protest groups who aim to stop it.

- Seperation of Church and State: Strongly for.

- Climate Change/Global Warming: It's happening, we're to blame, but nothing's going to get done. Say bye-bye to the northern hemisphere. I just hope I die before the shit hits the fan (life will continue on in any case).

- The UN: Weak, ineffective, and largely symbolic.

- Restrictions on curses on television: I don't give a shit.

- Corporate welfare: I wouldn't know.

- Private Charity: I wouldn't know.

- Public Welfare: Pro.

- Death Penalty: Pro, I don't care if it doesn't make it right for the family or the victim. Some people deserve to die for what they've done. If joe blow knew he'd get shot in the face by the justice department if he killed a family, he might think twice. Something for me to investigate, in any case.

- Stem cell research: Strongly for. Scientific advancements that can do such potential good should be allowed a guarded freedom. And I've heard they're working on, if haven't already perfected a way of creating stem cells from skin or hair cells.

- Guantanamo Bay: Close it, terrible place.

What Political Party or Affiliation? : None really, I'm pretty central politically, and find myself agreeing and disagreeing with pretty much all political parties.

What religion (or lack thereof) are you affiliated with? : I would consider myself agnostic.

What is your stance on:

- Abortion: Very much for the provision of it, but I think it should be a last resort, and it should only be in the early stages.

- Gay Marriage: For it.

- Health care: It's... good?

- Gun control: For it.

- Illegal Immigration: It's illegal, and should be treated as such.

- War (Iraq/Afghanistan/War in general): I don't agree with it, but I support the soldiers.

- Seperation of Church and State: A good thing, as the two have nothing to do with each other.

- Climate Change/Global Warming: Obviously an issue that should be taken seriously, but I often feel some people go a bit overboard with it.

- The UN: An excellent idea, not always put to the best of use.

- Restrictions on curses on television: In the daytime, sensible censoring is a good idea. Past 9 or 10pm, I can't see why there should be any restrictions.

- Corporate welfare: I can see why its a good thing, but it shouldn't be the companies benefiting so much as their customers who would get screwed over by the lack of help. Not sure what it's like in the US, but in the UK the banks just seem to be getting more and more money.

- Private Charity: A good thing.

- Public Welfare: Also a good thing for the people who genuinely need it, but the way public benefits are run in the UK is a shambles and people can get a lot more money for doing nothing than if they got a job and their benefit payments stopped.

- Death Penalty: I'm against it, although there have been a few very extreme cases where I feel it could have been used because a life sentence that will never be shortened is a waste of public resources.

- Stem cell research: An important area of medical research.

- Guantanamo Bay: Indefinite detention is a joke.

What Political Party or Affiliation? : Anarchist individualist

What religion (or lack thereof) are you affiliated with? : Christian, I don't go to any church however. More and more agnostic, giving less of a damn

What is your stance on:

- Abortion: No, except by rape, or failure in pregnancy protection. If you don't want a baby, why do it in a way you would get one? Not that it should be illegal, it's just what I personally believe in.

- Gay Marriage: I don't give a damn about what they do, I don't think it should be prohibited

- Health care: After seeing what happened to Chuck Schuldiner.. I REALLY think it should be reformed.

- Gun control: Just NO. Criminals will always have guns some way or another. Doing this is nothing but endangering people and hypocrisy from the government, and a violation of human rights.

- Illegal Immigration: Bleh

- War (Iraq/Afghanistan/War in general): they're doing it wrong.

- Separation of Church and State: The state should not try to control what the people believe in

- Climate Change/Global Warming: I like the idea of having your own power source instead of a major one. Also, oil prices would drop. I don't really like the rumors of forests being cut down and burnt in a large scale that could harm the ecosystem, but I really don't know what's exactly going on anyway
Global Warming my ass, though.

- The UN: Just a bunch of politicians from different countries talking bullshit. Useless

- Restrictions on curses on television: Fuck censorship. All of it. Especially curses, Jesus Christ, I'm not saying there should be child porn on television. 1Khz beeps are way more annoying than curses. Plus, it's a violation of freedom of speech.

- Corporate welfare: W..what? Corporations getting money from the government? Doesn't that mean stealing more money from taxpayers? Then no.

- Private Charity: ?

- Public Welfare: W..what? Government stealing money from people and giving it to other random people? Doesn't that mean stealing more money from taxpayers? Then no.

- Death Penalty: ...against. If found out that the person was actually not guilty of a crime, then there's no turning back..

- Stem cell research: Not sure.

- Guantanamo Bay: Not sure either. A prison camp in Cuba that was closed down, is all I know about it. But what exactly was being done there?

What Political Party or Affiliation? : Conservative (Reagan Republican), but more and more Libertarian

What religion (or lack thereof) are you affiliated with? : Christian

What is your stance on:

- Abortion: Pro-choice, but personally against it

- Gay Marriage: Against

- Health care: Government run- Its CRAP!!

- Gun control: NO!

- Illegal Immigration: Amnesty to a point, then lock down the boarders!

- War (Iraq/Afghanistan/War in general): Send 500,000 troops, kick ass, then get our people the fuck home! 6 months tops.

- Seperation of Church and State: Pipe dream.

- Climate Change/Global Warming: Anthropogenic theory is BULLSHIT! Climate changes ALL THE TIME. The current junk science Al Gore spewing drivel is the single greatest threat to society, mankiind as we know it, and the credibility of science. To say the debate is over is sacreligious, heretical, evil bullshit! I've spoken to dozens of scientists, I've had data shared with me in labs, I've researched it on my own and with the help of friends who study it for a living. IT IS CRAP, and it's incredibly dangerous (Ask me how I really feel )

- The UN: Worthless as nuts on a priest

- Restrictions on curses on television: I'm okay with this to a point.

- Corporate welfare: No good

- Private Charity: Is the answer....not big daddy government

- Public Welfare: Is a mess.....hand up, not hand outs

- Death Penalty: Against unless you fuck with a child, then it should be public execution

- Stem cell research: For all but embryonic

- Guantanamo Bay: Isn't this a Beach Boys song?? Necessary, served it's purpose, and not nearly as bad as some countries prison systems.
You don't HAVE a soul.You ARE a soul.You HAVE a body.

What Political Party or Affiliation? : Libertarian

What religion (or lack thereof) are you affiliated with? : Individual/Personal Christianity

What is your stance on:

- Abortion: I feel as if our government was designed to protect the rights of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. I also feel as if the only time that one's rights can ever be forfeit is if they violate another's rights. Since unborn children are generally incapable of rights-violations, I would say that their right to life reigns supreme. Therefore, I'm against it for legal reasons.

- Gay Marriage: No reason to restrict it since there's nothing inherently evil about it. As long as the government doesn't force churches to start marrying homosexual couples, then I see no problem with pro-gay rights policies.

- Health care: I feel as if this should be a private matter, not something run by the government.

- Gun control: Gun control laws do nothing to deter those who would already willingly commit crimes and encourage gangs/terrorism by driving what would be a legitimate market underground.

- Illegal Immigration: If one wants to come to this country, they should do so in a legal manner because it benefits both the immigrant and current citizens by not resulting in depressed wages. If the legislation needs to be made less restrictive to allow this to happen, then so be it.

- War (Iraq/Afghanistan/War in general): While I favor the concept of a military for defense, I feel as if using it for offensive wars is not necessary. All it does is create an image that we are all backwards hillfolk. Our nation should avoid any war at all costs while still keeping an active military.

- Seperation of Church and State: They should be separate. Church should not influence government nor should government influence church in any way.

- Climate Change/Global Warming: I believe that global warming is occurring but feel as if it is part of a natural cycle. However, I do support alternative energy because the oil supply is limited, we rely too much on foreign fuel, and I'm just generally against waste. Additionally, having more fuel sources would provide more jobs for people to invest back in the economy.

- The UN: The UN is largely useless in what it aims to do and what it aims to do is something I do not like. All it has ever caused is more wars and more disagreement because it dictates its own policy. Our involvement in it and support of its policies has led us into conflicts of no benefit to us. "Steer clear of permanent alliances" - George Washington

- Restrictions on curses on television: Should not be allowed. Government censorship of any type is unconstitutional and opens the door for further infringement of rights. I do support tv-ratings and home-based censorship (such as disabling certain channels on your cable box) because that does not infringe on anyone else's rights.

- Corporate welfare: Government is fiscally inefficient largely because of corporate welfare. The government should not be a business nor a business partner.

- Private Charity: Private charity is something which I strongly condone because no one is forced to do it and it still achieves a noble result.

- Public Welfare: The role of government is to protect the rights of the people, not provide for them.

- Death Penalty: "Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". says it right there, you cannot use the death penalty

- Stem cell research: I support it because of the people that it can help, and the issue is easier to swallow now that they found they can take them from skin cells.

- Guantanamo Bay: Secret government is something which should not be. Additionally, torture does not yield any greater information than other means, and often produces fake confessions. It is inefficient therefore should not be used.

-Assisted Suicide: While I have no intention of ever doing this, people have a right to their own life. So long as the government does not order all people over 45 to be killed, and those who choose this path are in certifiable states of sanity, then it should not really be restricted. However, you should not force doctors to perform this again their will, either, because it is an ethical issue.

-Drugs: Illegalizing drugs that are not inherently harmful has the same effect of gun control: it gives power to the gangs and introduced more tainted/dangerous drugs to the market. However, there should be strict punishment for public usage of any drugs which cause impairments because those threaten the lives of others.

What Political Party or Affiliation? : Independant center/libertarian maybe?

What religion (or lack thereof) are you affiliated with? : Heretic

What is your stance on:

- Abortion: Personally Prolife. None of my business what others do in their personal lives.

- Gay Marriage: For it. None of my business what others do in their personal lives.

- Health care: I like some of the reform bill, but not all of it. Could I consider it a right? Possibly.

- Gun control: Against it.

- Illegal Immigration: Against it.

- War (Iraq/Afghanistan/War in general): War should only be an option when all else fails.

- Seperation of Church and State: For it. Tax the fuck out of them until they stop trying to legislate from the pulpit.

- Climate Change/Global Warming: Yes, maybe, no. It's beyond my understanding.

- The UN: Great in theory. Shitty in practice.

- Restrictions on curses on television: meh...

- Corporate welfare: Let them fail.

- Private Charity: For it.

- Public Welfare: Should only be available for people making a legitimate attempt at taking care of themselves, but have fallen on hard times. Temporary!!!

- Death Penalty: For it.

- Stem cell research: Yes, if the cells can be obtained without damaging or killing the child.

- Guantanamo Bay: Shut it down. Try them in a criminal court or set them free.
All of this has happened before and all of this will happen again

-Left off center (Registered Democrat, but that's not a good indication of my political stances)

-Atheist (10 years of catholic school did that too me o/*  )

- Abortion:  Pro-choice (but woman has a moral obligation to inform the father and consider his thoughts)

- Gay Marriage:  "Marriage" is between the couple and their respective churches.  The couples should take that up with their religious leaders.  The Government should change official term to "civil unions."

- Health care:  completely 100% universal provided by government (not the cluster-f**k that came out of the Obama administration).  Between education and protection, health care is a basic obligation by the government for its people and should not be placed in hands of private interests.

- Gun control:  Greatly increase gun control laws, but don't repeal 2nd amendment.

- Illegal Immigration:  Outsourcing to India?  Why not outsource to Mexico?  Lower tariffs and other trade taxes between Mexico, Haiti, Cuba, etc.  Let American investors into those nations.  Outsourcing is going to happen, why not help our neighbors in the process?

- War (Iraq/Afghanistan/War in general):  I was OK with both (but definitely not for the reasons Bush gave).

- Seperation of Church and State: Strongly for.

- Climate Change/Global Warming: Very real.

- The UN:  Not sure where I stand on this one

- Restrictions on curses on television:  Yes on basic channels.  All pay channels (cable, satellite, etc.) absolutely not.  Get off your lazy ass parents and do some parenting!

- Corporate welfare: No.  Let companies fail.  But enact legislation to protect workers when the company fails.

- Private Charity:  Why not?

- Public Welfare:  Yes, but not current system.  It is too susceptible to abuse.

- Death Penalty:  Never.

- Stem cell research: Absolutely.

- Guantanamo Bay:  A living example of American hypocrisy.  Close it!

- Political - apathetic right?

- Christian - Presbyterian Reformed Evangelical

- Abortion:  mm nah. I don't like murder.

- Gay Marriage: Marriage is when a man leaves his parents and cleaves to his wife (a woman) to make his own family. But hey the state isn't Christian anymore. I don't dictate the state.

- Health care: We need more of it.

- Gun control:  Gun's are weapons. Weapons are for the military.

- Illegal Immigration:  if there's room let them come.

- War (Iraq/Afghanistan/War in general):  If it's ok in the bible it's ok with me (withing the bible's guidelines)

- Seperation of Church and State: wish it hadn't happened/hope it stays separate.

- Climate Change/Global Warming: I can't stop it.

- The UN:  you mean US right?

- Restrictions on curses on television:  Beside the point. Gimme good quality programming.

- Corporate welfare: huh?

- Private Charity:  sure.

- Public Welfare:  I'm using it to pay me through uni. oh yes.

- Death Penalty:  eh.

- Stem cell research: Science for progress? Yes. Playing God? No

- Guantanamo Bay:  without it we wouldn't have "A Few good Men"

- Gay Marriage: Don't care.

- Health care: Get your own.

- Gun control: Bad idea.

- Illegal Immigration: It's illegal.

- War (Iraq/Afghanistan/War in general): Were not getting cheaper gas out of this so lets let the savages do what they want.

- Seperation of Church and State: Praise Jesus for thinking of it.

- Climate Change/Global Warming: A new religion.

- The UN: lol no

- Restrictions on curses on television: Why?

- Corporate welfare: Succeed or get out of the way.

- Private Charity: Why not?

Anyone else?
I might as well, seeing as I hang out here quite a bit nowadays

What Political Party or Affiliation? : No particular affiliation, but I suppose you could call me a left-leaning libertarian. I don't affiliate myself with the libertarian party though, although I share a lot of beliefs with them.

What religion (or lack thereof) are you affiliated with? : None. I'm not Christian, not Agnostic, not an Atheist, etc. I have my own particular beliefs regarding the existence (or lack thereof) of any god (or gods) and morality and such, but none of it falls into any religion or denomination.

What is your stance on:

- Abortion: For it. Get rid of abortion and watch the population skyrocket to ridiculous levels.

- Gay Marriage: For it. I see no reason why gay people can't get married.

- Health care: Mixed feelings. It could be useful, but I doubt the gov't will take the necessary steps to do so.

- Gun control: Let the sensible people carry guns in their own homes for defense, but make sure they know how to actually use them. Requiring people to take a defense class to own one would be interesting. However, don't let any insane loonies even touch one.

- Illegal Immigration: Since we're not gonna close down the borders anytime soon, might as well make them citizens (Assuming they learn English and basic US history/culture) and get extra tax money from them. In this desperate economy, we could definitely use the money

- War (Iraq/Afghanistan/War in general): Against it unless really necessary. I don't see any point in keeping our soldiers overseas right now.

- Separation of Church and State: For it, but unlike some others I know the constitution doesn't really say anything of it. Still, I think laws should be made in the best interests of the people, and not what your religion says.

- Climate Change/Global Warming: I'm pretty convinced its gonna happen, but I'm not sure what we can do to stop it.

- The UN:  :lol

- Restrictions on curses on television:

- Corporate welfare: No.

- Private Charity: Uh, sure I guess.

- Public Welfare: Mixed feelings. If you absolutely need it, sure, but don't abuse it.

- Death Penalty: Only in the most extreme circumstances, otherwise just no.

- Stem cell research: All for it.

- Guantanamo Bay: Bad. Glad its closed.

Hmm, how did I never get around to doing one of these?

What Political Party or Affiliation? : No affiliation, but forced into the booth tomorrow I'd go with the Liberals (Canada).

What religion (or lack thereof) are you affiliated with? : None.  Atheist.

What is your stance on:

- Abortion: Woman's choice.

- Gay Marriage: Glad it's legalized in Canada.

- Health care: Strongly support a universal health care system, despite never having needed to use it in my life  :P

- Gun control: Support.

- War (Iraq/Afghanistan/War in general): Against.

- Seperation of Church and State: For.

- Climate Change/Global Warming: It's a serious threat to our way of life, and I try to convince people so.

- The UN: Gets a lot of flak.  Agree that it's an inefficient bureaucracy, but it's value as a forum cannot be understated.

- Restrictions on curses on television: Against.

- Corporate welfare: Depends case to case.

- Public Welfare: For, with some reservations.

- Death Penalty: Strongly against.

- Stem cell research: For.

- Guantanamo Bay: Strongly against.

What Political Party or Affiliation? : libertarian minus the party

What religion (or lack thereof) are you affiliated with? : Christianity

- Abortion:  No in all cases.

- Gay Marriage:  I disagree with the morality behind it, but if you want to, you can.

- Health care:  I don't know to much about the effects.  It seems that while it can be extremely useful to those without, it can also be easily abused

- Gun control:  Not really sure...leaning to minimal.  You can't own an AK47.

- Illegal Immigration:  Bad.  I really don't see anything wrong with protecting our borders, since, it is, you know, our country.

- War (Iraq/Afghanistan/War in general):  Undecided.

- Seperation of Church and State:  Yeah.

- Climate Change/Global Warming:  I need to do more research.

- The UN:  Sure.

- Restrictions on curses on television:  Anything a kid easily has access to should probably be restricted.

- Corporate welfare:  Undecided.

- Private Charity:  Fine...who would be against charity?

- Public Welfare:  Undecided.

- Death Penalty:  No...I'm a consistent pro-lifer.

- Stem cell research:  Probably not.

- Guantanamo Bay:  Bad.

What Political Party or Affiliation? : Left

What religion (or lack thereof) are you affiliated with? : Agnostic

- Abortion: I have no right to tell a woman what to do with her body.  I don't care what stage of pregnancy she's in.  Oh, and the world needs less people.

- Gay Marriage: Get rid of marriage altogether.

- Health care: Universal.

- Gun control: I think what we got going now is fine.

- Illegal Immigration: As DTVT said, no one legally living in this country wants to pick fruit.

- War (Iraq/Afghanistan/War in general): Shouldn't have happened/Worse now than before/Against unless in defense of America or its allies

- Separation of Church and State: Yes please.

- Climate Change/Global Warming: Happening.  We definitely have something to do with it.  Doesn't matter much now though.

- The UN: indifferent

- Restrictions on curses on television: fuck no

- Private Charity: sure

- Public Welfare: Necessary.  Needs reform.

- Death Penalty: nope

- Stem cell research: Yes, on all levels.

- Guantanamo Bay: terrible

What Political Party or Affiliation? : I believe in personal responsibility, respect for life, limited government and a strong national defense and vote accordingly to reflect those beliefs

What religion (or lack thereof) are you affiliated with? : For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

What is your stance on:

- Abortion: I believe that abortion is murder but.....just as God gives everyone free will to choose as they wish I believe it is a womanís choice. I just pray it is an informed choice.

- Gay Marriage: Marriage is sacred and should remain between a man and woman. I have no issues however with a civil union in order for gay couples to retain the same rights as married couples. But they should remain seperate.

- Health care: Not the United States governments responsibility to provide. States/HealthCare providers should be allowed to cross state lines to form larger groups to cut down cost.

- Gun control: Believe everyone should own a gun. I have a conceal carry permit and am always prepared to defend my family and myself from becoming a sad headline.

- Illegal Immigration: Is illegal. There is a process to become legal, respect it.

- War (Iraq/Afghanistan/War in general): War in general will never cease to exist, the current US wars would be over if politicians let the military do what they do. I am absolutely a General Sherman fan when it comes to total warfare.

- Seperation of Church and State: Does not mean religion has no place in governmentÖ.

- Climate Change/Global Warming: Consuming fossil fuels doesnít help the matter but to pretend man is the ONLY cause is ridiculous. This planet has cyclical cycles, some that span a year, some span a decade, some multiple thousands. We know little about this planet we live on yet like to believe we know it all.

- The UN: Is a corrupt organization that needs to be assassinated. Oil for food anyone?

- Restrictions on curses on television: Parenting should superceed any censorship.

- Private Charity: Everyone should donate to a private charity

- Public Welfare: Should not be a way of life, it was created to assist in a crisisÖ.

- Death Penalty: Once rendered as your sentence should be fulfilled the very next day. Enough of this 20 year appeal process. If you are innocent in this day and age you can prove it.

- Stem cell research: No embryonic. Everything else is good to go.

- Guantanamo Bay:  The only issue I have is that I wouldnít use water to water board, Iíd use pig blood. Itís war people,.
Without Faith.....Without Hope.....There can be No Peace of Mind

Don't know how much I'll be posting in this section but I'll post these for the record.

What Political Party or Affiliation? : Independent (though philosophically progressive)

What religion (or lack thereof) are you affiliated with? : Lutheran

What is your stance on:

- Abortion: It should be a private decision between a woman and their doctor, but am confortable with restrictions on later term pregnancies (ie pretty much agree with the gradient outlined by Roe v. Wade)

- Gay Marriage: Absolutely for marriage equality. There's no good reason to deny civil marriage between couples b/c of sexual orientation.

- Health care: I'm for universal health care

- Gun control: I'm fine with small arms for self defense or guns for hunting, but also think there should be reasonable restrictions. Not a big issue for me either way though.

- Illegal Immigration: Needs to be stopped, but we need to face reality that we can't send everyone already here back. Broader immigration reform needs to occur before this can be solved.

- War (Iraq/Afghanistan/War in general): We shouldn't be in the business of imperial nation building. We have got to get out of there sooner than later, whatever the consequences. We ask too much of our military.

- Seperation of Church and State: Necessary to get along in a secular society. Mixing the two corrupts both.

- Climate Change/Global Warming: Needs to become a bigger priority. To what extent climate change is man made is beside the point though of the bigger issue of finite oil supplies. Finding viable new energy sources needs to be our biggest priority in the coming decades. (I'm all for expanding nuclear power for example)

- The UN: Ineffective in stopping conflict, but does do a lot of good humanitarian work. I don't really want it to have more jurisdiction power though so we'll have to work with what we got.

- Restrictions on curses on television: Uh, for reasonable restrictions I guess. Of course defining reasonable is the tough part so... meh, not a big issue for me.

- Corporate welfare: Against

- Private Charity: Should be encouraged

- Public Welfare: For strong welfare programs, though there's always room for correcting inefficiencies.

- Death Penalty: Against, I don't think the state should be able to murder people. Plus it's too expensive. Not to mention I personally think we should give everyone the chance to redeem themselves in some small way, even if some individuals are too dangerous to let back into society.

- Stem cell research: For it.

- Guantanamo Bay: A quantry and mockery of the rule of law and should be immediately closed. Sadly, Guantanamo is hardly the only prison like so.

What Political Party or Affiliation? : Registered Democrat, though I won't touch either party with a ten foot pole.

What religion (or lack thereof) are you affiliated with? : None; atheist.

What is your stance on:

- Abortion: For.

- Gay Marriage: For

- Health care: Universal, please.

- Gun control: Some restrictions are necessary.

- Illegal Immigration: We need to address other issues before we can deal with the actual comings and goings of illegal workers.

- War (Iraq/Afghanistan/War in general): We need to leave immediately.

- Seperation of Church and State: Good!

- Climate Change/Global Warming: Not sure, but we should treat the environment nicely regardless.

- The UN: A wonderful idea; I wish it worked better than it did.

- Restrictions on curses on television: As long as they're self-imposed.

- Corporate welfare: NO

- Private Charity: A wonderful thing.

- Public Welfare: Part of our obligation to each other.

- Death Penalty: 100% against.

- Stem cell research: Really important.

- Guantanamo Bay: An embarrassment to our country.

What Political Party or Affiliation? : Looking for one that I agree with

What religion (or lack thereof) are you affiliated with? : Still open to any kind, undecided

What is your stance on:

- Abortion: for

- Gay Marriage: For

- Health care: Universal

- Gun control: Firmly restricted, but allowed

- Illegal Immigration: This is a little to complex for a "let them in or don't" and I would spend a few hours explaining my position

- War (Iraq/Afghanistan/War in general):  Once again, I feel like this requires a long explanation, but in a word, no.

- Seperation of Church and State: Good!

- Climate Change/Global Warming:  Deserves respect, but to a limit.  Efforts should derive from human moral, not government law.

- The UN:  Doesn't hurt, doesn't help
- Restrictions on curses on television: No, these restrictions are silly

- Corporate welfare: NO!

- Private Charity: A wonderful thing.

- Public Welfare: Yes

- Death Penalty: Should be done away with

- Stem cell research: Definitely a green light

- Guantanamo Bay:  Not strongly against, but not supporting

- Climate Change/Global Warming: natural cycle

What Political Party or Affiliation? :   Democrat

What religion (or lack thereof) are you affiliated with? :   Devout Atheist

What is your stance on:

- Abortion:   Nobody actually *supports*  abortion, do they?  Rather, I support a woman's right to make a very tough choice.

- Gay Marriage:   Strongly in favor

- Health care:   Should be a birthright. I'm for a single payer system in the U.S.

- Gun control:  Don't want to take away right of ownership but it needs to be more difficult than it currently is to own a weapon. Better background checks, are needed and we need to ban high capacity clips and assault rifles.

- Illegal Immigration:  Let's sure up the borders but for those already here, get their asses into the system and paying taxes a.s.a.p!

- War (Iraq/Afghanistan/War in general):  I believe in war but only when absolutely necessary and just.  Afghanistan was just and necessary, Iraq was not and borders on being criminal especially for the really bad situation that war put us in. I'm also against nationbuilding.

- Seperation of Church and State:  The bedrock of American society. If it goes away I say it's time for a revolution.

- Climate Change/Global Warming:    First off, the world *is* warming up. The data is there. If anyone is still trying to debate that point they're simply a hopeless conservative idealogue. The *real* debate however is - Are we causing it? To that question I'd say most probably.

- The UN:   Nice idea but pretty much useless.

- Restrictions on curses on television:   No problem with cursing on TV.

- Corporate welfare: I'm okay with bailing out corporations (e.g. the auto industry) whose failure would result in lost jobs and economic chaos.
What I'm NOT for are corporations not paying their share of taxes. Can you say Exxon Mobil??

- Private Charity:  Why the hell not?

- Public Welfare:  Some people really need it.  It's the mark of a civilized society.

- Death Penalty:  Against

- Stem cell research:  Strongly in favor

- Guantanamo Bay:  Trials for everyone!

What Political Party or Affiliation? : left social libertarian

What religion (or lack thereof) are you affiliated with? : Atheist

What is your stance on:

- Abortion: I view it as wrong and only acceptable if done as soon as possible.

- Gay Marriage: I fully support it. It does not affect me in any way if they want to get married.

- Health care: I dont believe it should be completely free but should mostly be payed for through taxes.

- Gun control: I believe it is o.k. to a certain extent. It will depend on the type of weapon, where it is used, and what it is used for.

- Illegal Immigration: If we find illegal immigrants we should tax them a bit more than non illegal immigrants/citizens. Of course to an amount that they can pay off.

- War (Iraq/Afghanistan/War in general): I believe war is right when it threatens our people or if we are asked from other people.  I do support the iraq war because they did not follow agreements with the u.n., I do not agree with how we forced our beliefs on them following the war. As for afghanistan I believe it was right in that the government was supporting al-Qaeda

- Seperation of Church and State: I believe this is right.

- Climate Change/Global Warming: We do need to do something about it. However it is not as big of an issue as it is made out to be

- The UN: I believe this will only bring further understanding and acceptance of other nations and cultures both inside and outside of the u.n.

- Restrictions on curses on television: I believe this is wrong.

- Corporate welfare: I believe this is wrong. Unless it goes to struggling business's that can't keep up with bigger ones.

- Private Charity: I believe this is right.

- Public Welfare:I believe this is right

- Death Penalty: I believe this is wrong seeing as what happens after death is more unknown than what happens if someone is alive.

- Stem cell research: I believe this is right. However embryonic stem cell reasearch I dont believe so. But I still am not sure on my stand on embryonic stem cell reasearch.

- Guantanamo Bay: I do not believe it is right.

What Political Party or Affiliation? : n/a

What religion (or lack thereof) are you affiliated with? : Roman Catholicism

What is your stance on:

- Abortion: Pro-choice; however, it should never be taken lightly, and women should be well informed.

- Gay Marriage: All for it. Everyone should have the right to lawfully wed the partner of their choice.

- Health care: Pro-healthcare. We have it here in Canada, and it's helped me out a few times  :D It's an expensive system, but worth it.

- Gun control: For it.

- Illegal Immigration: Against it, and immigration laws should be strictly enforced.

- War (Iraq/Afghanistan/War in general): Concerning the matters in Iraq and Afghanistan, I perceive that fact that I am in no way knowledgeable enough about the matter to take a proper stance. Concerning war in general, I don't approve of it, but one must not ignore the substantial amount of progress that spawns from such conflicts.

- Seperation of Church and State: For.

- Climate Change/Global Warming: Another matter that I don't know nearly enough about. However, my stance is such that I don't believe in it, yet don't deny it, and will do my part (in the meantime) to reduce my carbon footprint, water usage, etc. because I do know that our worldly resources are finite.

- The UN: n/a

- Restrictions on curses on television: Strong curses and slurs should be restricted; lightly coloured language is acceptable.

- Corporate welfare: For, but only minimal amounts.

- Private Charity: n/a

- Public Welfare: For; but welfare should not constitute one's total income, if it can be helped.

- Death Penalty: For. Sometimes life behind bars just isn't enough of a punishment.

- Stem cell research: Completely for. If the claims about the possible potential are anywhere near the truth, such research should be allowed (with restrictions). As long as it's justified.
- Guantanamo Bay: n/a

- Drugs: Against. There are others ways to enjoy yourself or the company of your friends.

since I post here sometimes I may as well make one o' these

What Political Party or Affiliation? : I registered Republican as a joke  :lol

What religion (or lack thereof) are you affiliated with? : I believe in chaos

What is your stance on:

- Abortion: Fuck those fetuses kill them all

- Gay Marriage: Pro. Very pro gay marriage.

- Health care: Make it universal and we've got a deal.

- Gun control: You don't need all those guns really. I mean, have a gun if it's a hobby or something, but if you're claiming to have them for selfe defense against all those masked gunmen that break into your home, imagine what we could do if we could control their gun supply eh huh huh yeah so what also you can't keep yours just put them in the basket on your way out

- Illegal Immigration: Uh, I'm not too versed in this area so I'll mostly leave it alone. I'd say if there's a reasonable and legal way to get into a country, then not doing that should probably be frowned upon.

- Seperation of Church and State: How about decimation of church HAHA BURN BABY BURN

- Climate Change/Global Warming: I am very much pro global warming I think we should pass it into law yes indeedy mhm

- Restrictions on curses on television: Eh, common sense goes a long way as far as stuff for kids goes I guess if you don't want them to hear curse words for some reason, but I don't see why words should ever be censored.

I suppose this is really aimed towards Statesiders, but I'll answer where I can:

What Political Party or Affiliation? : Donít really have an affiliation, but I suppose I would consider myself more aligned with the left. Iím a free-marketeer, but Iíve also got a sensitive side lol

What religion (or lack thereof) are you affiliated with? : Atheist through and through.

What is your stance on:

- Abortion: I can see its uses, but I can see it being abused also. Good under certain circumstances.

- Gay Marriage: Not for me, but I canít see why not in modern society.

- Health care: Itís a sad state of affairs in the US. I could write forever on this, but Iím of the view that where affordable, the state should provide a basic social safety net for its citizens including healthcare to be funded by a progressive tax regieme. Thereís the lefty coming out in me :D

- Gun control: I donít think thereís such a thing. Guns are bad and personal use should be outlawed.

- Illegal Immigration: In Australia, theres a veritable shitstorm every time we get a boat of 40 illegal migrants rocking up on our shores. Its not that big a deal people get over it! However, illegal immigration is bad when there are proper channels to migrate.

- War (Iraq/Afghanistan/War in general): War can on occasion be justified. Afghanisatan: Yes, Iraq: No, Libya: (assuming no foot presence) Yes.

- Seperation of Church and State: Absolutely. The church has no place in Government, and the Government has no place in church.

- Climate Change/Global Warming: Cap and Trade all the way baby.

- The UN: Is a bit bloated and doesnít get anything done as a result. Noble in its intentions though.

- Restrictions on curses on television: No friggin way. Its freedom of expression. If we are talking about exposure to kids here, its up to the parents.

- Corporate welfare: Interesting, probably worth its own thread of discussion. If corporations expect welfare when times are bad they should pay on the way up.

- Private Charity: Absolute necessity.

- Public Welfare: Read above, basic social safety nets are almost vital for economies. Again, worth its own thread.

- Death Penalty: For horrible crimes, pro. But, its got to be uniform and also not decided by lawyers.

- Stem cell research: Most certainly pro.
I punch those numbers into my calculator and they make a happy face.

What Political Party or Affiliation? : Libertarian

What religion (or lack thereof) are you affiliated with? : Raised Catholic but not really religious

What is your stance on:

- Abortion: Morally against (saw a procedure), but understand the needs to control the population

- Gay Marriage: I'm against gov't involvement in any kind of marriage. I am FOR any kind of long-term, loving monogamous relationship though.

- Health care: It is not a right. Costs are out of control because of government intervention that restricts the free market.

- Gun control: Against, we're a Republic built on the 2nd Amendment.

- Illegal Immigration: Punish employers and they'll self deport. Remove all welfare benefits for them, no matter what.

- War (Iraq/Afghanistan/War in general): Against meddling in other countries' affairs. We're broke. We are hated because we meddle, period.

- Separation of Church and State: Nothing wrong with saying Christmas.. the fed gov't is just not allowed to have a state religion like in England

- Climate Change/Global Warming: New hoax perpetrated by the global elitist bankers who control every major political party (i.e. D and R).. follow the money.. carbon trading is nothing but wealth redistribution. CO2 does not cause warming, neither does my SUV. If you want to talk about pollution (i.e. smog in cities), fine. If you want to talk about renewable energy to grow the economy (private sector, no subsidies), fine.

- The UN: Worthless organization aimed at one world government.

- Restrictions on curses on television: No censorship necessary, only good parenting.

- Corporate welfare: Against.

- Private Charity: All for, as long as not forced.

- Public Welfare: Must be temporary for the able-bodied, for everyone else who truly needs help, I don't mind if something is done STATE LEVEL, but I prefer private charity. Look what the "Great Society" has done...generation after generation on public assistance.

- Public Education: Force schools to compete against each other (tie the $ to the kid).. it works in Belgium.

- Death Penalty: Absolutely 100% for... speed it up for those who are guilty without a shadow of a doubt.

- Stem cell research: For

- Guantanamo Bay: Against
