I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

There's a local bar in town called The Rock Garden. The menu there has something called "Mug o' Meat". The owners make their own beef jerky and sell it at the bar. You get a pint glass with 3 or 4 jerky strips in it. It's delicious, especially with a nice beer.

How often does that happen in your line of work, Lonestar? Gotta figure cuts/burns are regular occurrences. Are the diner's far enough from the kitchen or can they hear "FUCK JESUS FUCK FUCK SHIT" when it happens? Has to have come up before in the restaurant world.

I'm in a closed kitchen, so we just scream away. I've worked in an open kitchen, and you know what, we fucking scream anyways, cause that shit hurts man.

Usually burns get the good outburst. Cuts are more subtle cause our knives are so sharp that it takes a second to feel the pain, and I can control it better. Fuck burns though, they just suck.

It sprung a leak and went down on its own. Its healing well but yeah that hurt like hell! Never get distracted when frying bacon. My kid made me look away and the next thing I knew my finger was in frying bacon grease!

I worked at McD's as a teenager - the night shift cleaning all the equipment.  Got a splash of 350o fresh oil on my thumb once.  Worst pain I've ever had in my life - before or since.  Looked exactly like your finger there Rich.

When I worked at Domino's I somehow managed to barehandedly grab the metal screen that a pizza rests on in the oven twice during my time there. The ovens fluctuate between 500-520F. I remember popping the blister but the pus kept drying and sealing it thus making the blister reinflate. One time I squeezed it open while sitting in my car and saw it leave a trail of wetness on the ceiling. It kinda reminded me of those water-squirting prank flowers clowns keep on their lapel.
