In the third panel, what do the x and y axes represent?

I think that's why I am not getting it either...

Location. Distance from the corner. The black represents where the ink is. So if there's ink at (1, 1) they draw a little point there on the graph - which essentially makes it a map.

And trying way too hard. Didn't find it funny myself. Not even particularly geeky.

 :lol

The units actually cancel, though numerically it's more fuzzy.

I just checked it out:

[(1.956e9)/(~345e9)]x[(100e3/.0051)/(34e3)] = 3.27

I refuse to do a full error analysis, but given the uncertainty in all of them, I'm quite confident that pi easily falls in the range.

Combining the last comic and a question my friend asked me: "Would you ever get back together with Acelyn if you guys started talking again?" made me have a dream about her. Bawww.

Edit: The Valentine comic, not the Batman comic.
