The Nevermore Appreciation Thread
« on: September 07, 2009, 12:53:27 PM »
Anyone like them as much as I do?

Warrel Dane = Awesome vocalist

Jeff Loomis = Badass guitarist.

I've always liked how the guitar style is very death/thrash esque while the vocals are not.

Just amazing.  DT should count their lucky stars that some of their fans are at this level of unconditional cult worship.

Nevermore is one of my top favourite bands. One of the best metal bands out there.

I agree on both Warrel Dane and Jeff Loomis. They are both incredible musicians.

Favourite albums:
Dead Heart in a Dead World, This Godless Endeavor and Dreaming Neon Black.
I felt its length in quite a few places.

This Godless Endeavor = album of 2005.

Looking forward to their new album next year. It's gonna be badass.

Amazing band for sure.

The wait for The Obsidian Conspiracy is killing me. Even a small preview/update of some sort would be awesome.

Haven't heard much, but what I have is quite tasty.
Orion....that's the one with a bunch of power chords and boringly harsh vocals, isn't it?

Warrel Dane is overrated.

Jeff Loomis, on the other hand.  :metal :metal :metal

Definitely one of my favorite metal bands as well.  I've long described them as "Pantera and Queensryche had a bastard child and named it Nevermore."  (In other words...what's not to like?)

Also had no idea there was another album due out.  I'll definitely get it when it does.

This Godless Endeavor and Dreaming Neon Black are their best albums, but I seem to listen to Enemies of Reality the most. And I agree that Warrel and Jeff are two of the most exciting people in the metal world! I hope they don't make us wait too much longer for a new album.

I cant wait for the next album. This Godless Endeavour stayed in my CD player for literally months.

Loomis is such a beast, although for me its Warrel Dane's vocals that make the band stand out.
also, Year of the voyager = brutal dvd. Wish they had kept Broderick on, that way he wouldn't have gone to Megadeth to lick Mustaine's shoes whilst playing some run of the mill music...

Nevermore, along with Pain of Salvation, are two bands that I could never get into. I don't know why.

That sucks man. You're really missing out. I can understand though because the vocals are pretty hard to get into with Nevermore.

It's not the vocals, it's the music. I dunno, it does nothing for me.

I love this band!!

Enemies of Reality is the heaviest non-extreme metal album I've heard!!

So great! :2metal:

Love this band. I can't wait to see them live at some point. I just discovered them in the past couple of years. A buddy bought me a few CDs and I got hooked.

I doubt it. If April, it would be 6, 13, 20, or 27.

Warrel Dane and Jim Sheppard (bassist) were in Sanctuary and are the founders of Nevermore. Jeff Loomis was Sanctuary's touring guitar player, and joined up with Nevermore.
