I love The Obsidian Conspiracy. I can't understand why it's gotten lukewarm reception. Makes no sense.

I assume it's due to the 5 year wait since This Godless Endeavor was released. I love TOC however. Fantastic album, but definitely not the best thing they've done.

I'm pretty sure Nevermore comes up with an album/song title that sounds cool, and then try to write a song around it. The Termination Proclamation/The Obsidian Conspiracy/The Heart Collector/The Politics of Ecstasy/Seed Awakening/Do I really need to go on?

Honestly, most of their titles generally have a "deeper" meaning to them. As for what the shit an "obsidian conspiracy" is, I have no clue. I know Obsidian is a type of volcanic glass, but where that ties into the rest...I'm not sure.

I had things planned out so I could see them (even though it would be the day after Coheed). I mean, Nevermore is one of my favourite metal bands. Symphony X were just kind of an added bonus. I guess I'm not going now.

But yeah, at least I'm seeing Coheed and SOAD in the same month.

Maybe it's just wishful thinking but if they do form a band, Myles Kennedy would be a perfect singer for a Nevermore type of Metal band.
