Not exactly. He said that whilst he will never rule out a SYL return, he would not be able to perform those songs in his current state of mind, i.e. at peace with himself. Were he to (god forbid) relapse into the paranoid and self-loathing mentality of those early years it is perfectly possible that SYL would re-emerge. Hopefully it will never happen though.

Bump because The Way of All Flesh finally clicked this past week. I mean, I've always liked a good half of the album but it never really hit me as much as their other three albums did. Jesus god damn what an album. So yeah, been listening to Gojira pretty much nonstop recently.

Also I stumbled across this monster this morning. Seen live videos from this show before, but it's awesome to have it all in one sitting. So god damn heavy.

The Way Of All Flesh is my favorite. What a phenomenal album. Not only are all the songs awesome, but the production is great as well. One of the best sounding metal albums ever.

I know what you mean. It doesn't bother me with a band like Sigur Rós (where pretty much everything is in icelandic) but one thing I seriously don't like is when a band mixes english titles with another language. I don't know, in some cases I feel like the album looses the connection, feels more spread out if it's different languages mixed.
Still, that was pretty off topic but I'm pretty excited about the new album. I've sorta been a casual fan of the band since I saw them live, and I'll check out the new album.

The french titles doesn't bother me really, it's the fact that it has BOTH english and french titles. I really don't get why they can't stick with one language for an album, not just Gojira but everyone who does this.

I have no problems with that as a theme in songs, but the leaves in the middle of the album are just.. there.

I think it works. All of their art are kinda like that: Natural, organic, and symbolic. Also if the album is about environment, why not put it there?

Because it looks like it was just slapped on, with The Way Of All Flesh, and From Mars to Sirius, the artwork was well place, and well made.
