Man there was a small window when I LOVED Aerosmith, when Janie's Got a Gun and Love in an Elevator got heavy MT/radio airplay. I wasn't in to classic rock at that point so wasn't aware they had a much more extensive history. When I did, I tried to backtrack but couldn't get in to their older stuff. Then I realized their late 80s/early 90s stuff blew, so they ultimately had nothing worth listening to.

Except Dream On. I especially enjoy the Last Action Hero orchestral version.

Kings and Queens should be #1.
It mostly is in my book, but sometimes I think Movin Out is a better song. They're kind of 1 and 1.1.

Of the songs on the list K&Q is the only one that would make my top 7.

Kings and Queens
Moving Out
SOS (Too Bad)
Walking the Dog

Nobody's Fault
Train Kept a Rollin
Cheesecake

I only selected four:  Dream On, Back in the Saddle, Kings & Queens and Toys in the Attic.  Needless to say, I'm not a huge Aerosmith fan, and I think pretty much everything they did starting with Permanent Vacation was awful ("Rag Doll" and "The Other Side" are a couple of the worst songs I've ever heard).  "Cryin'" is ok, and I definitely would have chosen "Let the Music Do the Talking" and "Train Kept a Rollin'" if they had been an option.

Dude... that is a quality list right there.  Put in "Seasons of Wither" for "Train..." and I'm all in.

I think the thing lost on most people about Aerosmith is that - even in the drug years - their albums are WILDLY consistent.  Not that they don't have bad songs, they do, but other than maybe Draw The Line and Just Push Play, their albums are NOT just "the two singles and a ton of filler".

Good to see the votes spread out nicely. :tup :tup

I get why old school fans didn't like their material from 1987 on, but that material is what introduced me to Aerosmith, so I still dig a lot of it for that reason (the hits from Permanent Vacation and Pump).

Damn, that's tough.

LOVE Last Child!
WTW
Love the drums in What It Takes
Rag Doll was one of my first rock songs.  I was big into rap at the time.  The groove attracted me.
Sweet Emotion
LIAE
Love the main riff in Eat The Rich

I'm surprised Jaded got a vote.

I am pretty sure that can be said for most rock bands that made music in the 70's.  :lol :lol

Living On The Edge is probably my favorite Aerosmith song. I'm not a huge fan of too much of their catalog, but that song (and the title track of Get A Grip) are amazing. Also, it's not a genre I'm usually into, but Steven Tyler's recent "country" album was pretty good as well.
