Maybe there are no weak or bad tracks, but definitely there is at least one track that is DECENT, but not GREAT.
So weakest track from the album Moving Pictures doesn't have to mean a bad track, just a track that is weaker compared to other 6 album tracks.

Not sure about the best, but the worst is Witch Hunt, no doubt

Just listened to Moving Pictures yesterday. Damn near perfect album.

Fave track: Red Barchetta
Least Fave: The Camera Eye
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

The Camera Eye begs to differ. And what sucks is that it's literally a whole third of the entire album's overall length! :lol

Every time I try to give Moving Pictures another shot and I get through that insanely awesome first half of the album, I think to myself, "Maybe this time, I'll like The Camera Eye." But for the better part of a decade now, that hasn't happened and it brings the whole album down quite a few spots in my Rush album ranking because of how much of the whole album it takes up. It just drags for me and I'm not particularly invested in the song.

Seriously, if you switched The Camera Eye out with Natural Science from Permanent Waves (albeit keeping Natural Science as the album closer instead of at the middle), I think Moving Pictures would probably be pitch perfect. That last third of the album after TCE isn't quite as good as the opening half of the album, but it's not bad by any stretch.

This isn't even close:

BEST:  The Camera Eye (and this is from an album I love love love, so it's not like "Tom Sawyer sucks" or anything)
WORST:  Vital Signs (Maybe it's because the rest of the album is so strong, but this song feels tacked on, and is too much of a harbinger of the bad things to come. i.e. "p/g")

Should be titled fave and least fave.  If you aren't going to give a specific criteria for "best", don't leave it up to people to apply their own subjective criteria.

Fave - Red Barchetta (love seeing the love for this)
Least Fave - Vital Signs
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

I don't know about that.  I don't really see much of a connection, but maybe Vital Signs was a tease that demonstrated that GUP could have been good.  If anything, Vital Signs was a prelude to Digital Man.

Anyway, this thread is a lot like asking to pick the best and worst of one's children...

Not a very wise move to make a poll about favourite and least favourite songs and put all the options together, the results are pretty much meaningless now

Anyway I think I listened to this album once or twice and the only song I really dug I think was YYZ, least favourite is "Weakest track on MP?"
people on this board are actual music fans who developed taste in music and not casual listeners who are following current fashion trends and listening to only current commercial hits.

In theory the results are separated by the "Weakest track on MP?" option such that the votes above that option are for favorite track and the votes below are for least favorite track, but yeah, I agree this is a rather awkwardly set up poll.  It's also interesting that "Best/fave track on MP?" got five votes, while "Weakest track on MP?" only got four votes.
