I don't like the person very much, and not all of the music clicks, but when it does, it does.  This isn't picking the shitty songs I hate least.  I actually think Like A Prayer is one of the better songs of the decade, and I love love love Beautiful Stranger and Ray of Light (experimental, but without losing the plot).

Amen to that.  Some of her big 80's hits really come off now as unappealing bubblegum pop (even more now than then), but those two songs are timeless.

Very true.  Shoot, take her last album Rebel Heart.  The majority of the songs from that are wretched (Bitch I'm Madonna is beyond awful), but then you've got songs like the title track, Joan of Arc and Ghosttown, all of which are really, really good.

  I love love love Beautiful Stranger and Ray of Light (experimental, but without losing the plot). 

Ray of Light absolutely floored me the first time I heard it, and it's still a fantastic song. Crank that one up on the freeway and pray you don't get a ticket.  

It's basically a dance song that became this swirling, orgasmic, and surprisingly melodic, techno gem.

Good song. The Like a Prayer album is definitely where she transitioned from being just a pop star to more of an artist, leading to her more artistic phase (the 90's).

I am not wild about Human Nature, but Take a Bow was a nice single.  Bedtime Stories has some really good deep cuts - Inside of Me and Sanctuary. And I guess it was a single that didn't chart well, but Bedtime Story is really good.

Rain was one of the few songs I liked from Erotica.

Into the Groove is definitely one of her 80's hits that has aged well. 

I never liked Like a Virgin, Lucky Star or Open Your Heart that much, and all still sound like cookie cutter pop to me.

One song I just cannot stand on the list is Music. Maybe if it was done in a different style, I might like it, but the way it is, no thanks.

Yeah, I like certain aspects of Music, but it just doesn't come together for me.

La Isla Bonita having the 3rd most votes is something I did not see coming.

Ray of Light was the first primarily 'electronic' album I actually listened to which added that style of music to my fan-of repertoire.  I think Substitute for Love is just so cool.
