Big assumption there; Genesis is one of my top bands, and "Selling" isn't even in my top five.

1. Wind and Wuthering
2. Abacab
3. The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway
4. Duke
5. 3SL, if live albums are okay, Nursey Cryme, Foxtrot or Trick of The Tail if not.

The Lamb (and yes, Selling England is my favourite).
Zydar is my new hero.  I just laughed so hard I nearly shat.

Why don't you include their entire discography? You are leaving out a lot of great material..

1. Abacab
2. Duke
3. Genesis
4. Lamb Lies Down
5. Wind and Wuthering/ Invisible Touch

"Selling..." is my least favourite of the Genesis albums I've heard. I just have not been able to get into it, apart from Firth of Fifth.

Also, something like this only works if everything is included in the poll, and has probably already been discussed to death in the main Genesis thread.

What's with these Genesis polls that just assume everything after Duke isn't worth including?

Top 5 would be something like Trespass, Abacab, Duke, Lamb, Selling England (or Foxtrot if we're excluding Selling England for some reason).

Trick of the Tail is my favorite Genesis. I like their prog side but prefer Collins voice. That is why I love Seconds Out.

I'm pretty sure I like every one of his versions of Gabriel tunes better than the original.  MAYBE Pete's Firth of Fifth.

Of the four featured in the poll, I went with Wind & Wuthering, as I've grown fond of it over the years. In my younger days of being a prog fan, I would have been all over TLLDOB, due to my overwhelming love for longer albums and concepts, but as I've grown older, I've found its luster to wear off a bit for me, and the filler tends to stand out a bit more to me now than it did over a decade ago when I was getting into Genesis and prog in general.

A close second behind W&W was Foxtrot, with it's amazing bookend songs, and some great ones in between them, but something about W&W just speaks to me on many more levels now than the prog intensity that is Foxtrot, despite how great that album is.

Foxtrot, but Nursery Cryme rivals it.

I've only listened to the '70s albums.
